Airtel wan kill me. Surviving on '3G only mode' atleast I get up to 6-7 Mbps.

I think this whole issue has to do with my location. Na why MTN no work for me. Yet its a densely populated and thriving area o.

If U are using this type of odu, pls come to my aid ..I have not been Able to use it, I helped a frd to paid for a month with the hope that I will be able to make it Work better but I have not been able to .. I hv changed to all the bands but still getting 500kbs , what is happening

Try '3G Only'
It's what I use when facing downtimes and it works.

I even use it to stream 1080P content flawlessly on Stremio.

Who sabi how to lock this MTN ODU to a particular band?

When I was at a friends on band 7 e Dey very well but on getting home it switched to band 20 which isn’t very good

It doesn't have and there's no way since the router has no known unlock software.

It's one of the reasons I sold mine.

This is the best ODU Airtel has sold, IMHO. I suppose the problem you're having is quality of cells/bands in the current location and/or Airtel's inherent problems.

Ppl are saying it. A friend of mine bought it a few months ago, but he couldn’t get it to work. After about four months, I went to his office and told him I could help him set it up—i paid the ₦25k. After doing all the setup, the best speed we’re getting is just 800 kbps. Now he’s saying he won’t pay me if the speed doesn’t improve. 😂 It feels like I’ve entered one chance, lol.

I will go back to him on Monday…. I was thinking of sim swap if it wont work because my zlt works fine at his office but this zte wont work ,
Pls hw reliable is the sim swap i wll use the sim on my extra zlt odu .. do u dis will work?

Download this application from the play store and use like so.
Login using your normal admin admin

Please how Una Dey lock band on MTN ODU?

Change the position of the ODU use zte install helper app to identify good signal area once that is done try every band and see which gives you the best speed then lock it

This type of problem is probably not the fault of the router. Do the sim swap first. So that you can test it in other routers, including your X17U.

All my ODUs were originally registered with external Sims. That way, I am able to determine that my problem is the router or not, by putting the Sim in various routers I have. And that's how I am able to determine which of the ODUs I have touched performed better.

I think the problem your friend is having, since you comfirmed your ODU works in his place, is from that specific Sim and how it was registered. In other words, you guys have to rely on Airtel to fix the problem or get another ODU and ensure it was well registered and activated.

In any case, start troubleshooting with doing sim swap first.

Call them. I think multiple calculated and persistent, straight to the point calls I have made to them must have contributed to why they have been reliable in my location in recent time. To the point that if I go elsewhere the performance is nothing like what I get at home. Long may it last.

I think i bricked my airtel odu i use zte g5fa , i logged to to odu and clicked sim swith since then it stopped workin , please does anyone know any fix

Power off the router, leave for 30secs, turn it back on and it should reset.

i have done that even did a reset it showus it connects to the internet and it refuse to browse
