Governor Nurudeen Adeleke (Imole) dancing with his elder brother, Isiaka Adeleke (pupularly known as Serubawon) in 2014.

Serubawon, then a former PDP Senator defected to the APC on May 31, 2014 following PDP Governorship fracas between himself and Iyiola Omisore.

Isiaka, an elder brother to Davido's father, Deji, is the first Executive Governor of Osun State but died mysteriously in 2017.

Yes, you're right. He actually faced a lot of adversity, especially when he was denied the APC ticket to replace his brother. Only God knows the future.

You're right but his brother influence brightening his chance and love of people for their family. Serubawon was deeply loved by Osun and his death naturally bring or transfer of his love to his brother who they knew was actively involved with him.

Infact if not because of his deficiency in school certificate initially he would have been vying for positions during those times

We can denied the fact his brother plays a significant role in him becoming governor. I like they way they were bounded and carry and support one and another in their family.

I see what you’re trying to do…trying very hard to connect Adeleke with APC and by implications BAT. The fact remains that APC showed the man pepper…and his win is a loss to APC.

And Oyetola, a butterfly that calls itself a bird, blocked the opportunity for Adeleke to defect to APC last year, effectively stopping APC from returning to the state last weekend.

The election would have been a walkover for APC as Wike and co. sacrificed PDP for positions in Abuja.

Now the only hope APC has is for the impossible to happen, that is, if the other faction of Accord wins the court battle. But even at that, Adeleke can defect to another party and remain the Governor.

In all, the Adelekes have shown their political strength in Osun state. Winning with an unpopular party at short notice shows strength and popular acceptance of the particular candidate by the people. APC had a lot of advantage over Accord and Adeleke, but people power prevailed.

After his tenure, if he choose to “retire” to the Senate, which is the usual practice, his opponent at that time would have a strong battle and a powerful candidate to contest against.
