nairalanda1:The same George Weah you be talking about on here made sure his footballer son never played for Liberia or any African country but for the USA...whatcha gotta say about that |
| Re: Brian Madjo: Another African Football Talent Lost To Europe by nairalanda1(m): 10:54am On Aug 17 |
Spybradd:Was his son brought up in Liberia? No. Did his son live with his father? Not consistently Where did his son school: USA. Where did his son learn how to play football: USA Where was his son born?: USA. Guy is an American from the word go, not a Liberian. He was and is an American with a Liberian father. Unless he was brought up in Liberia and learned his football under liberian tutelage, then we can say he was lost to Liberia. But he was not, so, forget it. |

nairalanda1:George Weah club career PSG: 1992–1995 AC Milan: 1995–2000 Chelsea: 2000 Manchester City: 2000 Olympique Marseille: 2000–2001 He was never eligible to play for a European national team. Dem no give am the option him come reject am. |

Jakarta:And his son was born and bred in the USA...and as such considered himself an AMerican. Weah considered himself a Liberian Look, if we start taking in foreign born players, we leave our home grown players with zero opportunity, and also wreck our home grown player initiatives and systems...and it is not right. |

Jakarta:George Weah's son is an American with a liberian father, and as such he played for his country. He was not under any obligation to play for Liberia. Just as Folarin balogun was not under any obligation to play for Nigeria Plus if we start using foreign born Nigerians to play for NIgeria, where does that leave our footballing system? It would be basically ignoring the serious problems our domestic football has, including funding and corruption and relying on ready made to run away from those problems But if it is what you want, na you. But it does not make it right or fine. |

donleo92:..but when he cannot break through into the English senior national team due to high competition in the senior English national team..he will now be begging to play for Cameroon.. Tammy Abraham is regretting of not playing for Nigeria he chooses England but till now cannot break into the English national team..this 2026 world cup many good English national players were not chosen to play in the team in world cup.. like cole palmer, Arnold, Phil foden and many other players .so English national team playing positions is highly competitive |
