What Trump is saying for those who don't understand diplomatic language clearly is that he asked south Korea's support in his war with Iran and south Korea declined so he is withdrawing or rather reducing American's military support/aid for South Korea (which America has been a major partner and contributor) you na smart guy you be.

He has gone back to the doctrine of non foreign interference he started with when he assumed office.

The Mid East debacle has been the big and bad exception. America must find a way out and let Israel care about its country on its own. Let the Gulf States take care of themselves. If they all want nuclear weapons so be it. They will simply destroy each other and no one on other continents will care one bit.

Technology will eventually overcome oil and the reliance on the Middle east for global economic stability will be gone in a century or less.

Arms sales is a minuscule proportion of global trade. And it has reduced drastically since the end of the Cold war.

The interest of America in the middle east is two fold
One, economic, due to the global reliance on oil for stability and growth. And two, feeding off that, they have defence pacts with a number of Gulf states to ensure that stability.

All these strategic positions will change over time as technology evolves and the world drops hydrocarbons as primary energy source, then the world will leave them in peace to do whatever they like to each other.

Though south Korea not joining US for denuclearization of Iran maybe seen as slide by USA with their long standing military partnership with south Korea but their stand may be because of north Korea being their neighbour and has not been in good terms especially militarily and both north Korea,china, Russia and Iran are all in the same league which means south Korea will be target for north Korea and its allies.

It is not about Iran teaching the US lesson. The president of North Korea Kim Kong Un has met his match in President Trump. He knows that Trump doesn't like behaving well,just like him. It's aura for aura. Anywhere in the world that you know that the other person can do what you do without thinking Abt it, you will certainly mind your business.

Concerning Iran, the US didn't think that the soft targets available to Iran were so vulnerable. And they didn't believe that Iran could invade violate another country' sovereignty at the flick of a finger as they've done. All is fair in war and in love.

The olodos in this platform aren't going to totally understand that this is another media performance let out by trump psychologically to hurt south Koreans and make them think the Americans and North Korea are reaching an understanding were they will no longer be hostile to each other.

It is all a charade. (yeah, it is obviously fake‼️) the last paragraph made it obvious that trump's statement was aimed at hurting south Koreans after they declined to join America's proposed joint military invasion disguised as "Denuclearisation" towards Iranians.

I guessed a lot has happened between the south Koreans and the Americans these past few days or weeks which prompted the south korean president to propose a peace deal with north Korea and end the Korean formally.

I wonder how people don't seem to see through the Americans moves and see them for what they are and whom they are. Even if the Iranians eventually reaches a peace deal with the Americans, The same trump would drop an AI image of himself standing alongside an IRGC official or probably the late ayatollah, praising the Iranian people and it's government.

US cannot currently protect South Korea as it used to because they've moved significant amount of Patriot and THAAD system from South Korea to protect the Middle East. If Kim Jong Un now wish to smoke South Korea, he would, because defence is not there as before. South Korea too has reached out to North Korea for friendly relationship. If Kim so wish to smoke South Korea currently, he would. US is bogged down in two live wars. Add the possibility of China moving on Taiwan, but China doesn't move like that.
