He is not my paddy. My only argument is that Barcelona entrusted him with the defensive duties of our midfield, when he’s not such a good fit in the role. He’s generally a central midfielder in the mold of Pedri but we expected him to play like Busquets.

I think we set him up for failure. Now we’ve signed a proper DM, I think he’ll flourish beside him.

Barcelona eventually closed the Rodri deal with a €76.5m package. €60m fixed & above €11m of bonuses viewed as highly achievable.

Kudos to Deco for signing us a former ballon d’or winner, who will massively improve our midfield and mentor the likes of Bernal to take up the role eventually.

I think barca would be foolish to pair Dejong with Rodri because Pedri, Gavi, Olmo, Fermin, Bernal and even the new kid Espart understands positional play and one touch football more than Dejong. The very best is to sell him just like Ferran.

Even if he does, I will still rate Sergio Busquet over Rodri. Busi was competing against prime, modric, Messi, Cr7, Lewandowski, Suarez, Iniesta, Xavi, Neymar

Big respect to the players in this era, but non of them can compete or bench any of the above players whether in attack, or midfield

So so glad Rodri didn't sign for Real Madrid. It would have completed them because I honestly believed he was their missing piece with all the talents they have all over the place.

Rodri not only didnt join them, he signed for us. If we manage to keep him fit for most part of the season, we will be unstopable

We just have to accept that the career of Ronald Araujo didn't materialize as everyone had expected. As a matter of fact, Hansi Flick's highline only exposed his shattered confidence. I am happy he sought this move to Liverpool, as the Barcelona had become a difficult environment for him and no one was benefitting.

Did Xavi also play the highline? His issues in Barcelona started in the 2nd season of Xavi and he never recovered. Not even going to Isreal was enough to save him.

Well, his loan to Liverpool is good for him though.
Cause with Barca he won't have much playing time.

But to say his not a good defender cause some mistakes ? Nah nah nah.

About Araujo, I want him to perform for Liverpool so that the Merseyside club can give 55m for his signature. I don't want to see him back to Barcelona.
