Since the bird has learnt to fly without perching, the hunter has also learnt to shoot without aiming. Cunnyman die, cunnyman bury am. No case!

The state of emergency and subsequent suspension and denial of ticket meted out to Fubara has also made a lot of governors wary of him. A lot of them will throw him under the bus if they can secure their own re-election. They see signs of a dictator in the making.
He's not a dictator in the making, he's already a full blown one. He's moving towards becoming a tyranny. So many governors are currently afraid of him, the reason they ran to him now. But, last time I checked Christmas is only once in a year.
This Osun state issue is a serious uppercut to him, I hope it jolt them to a realization to stop deceiving themselves and start real governing. Nigerians are quick forgivers.

Very religious family, we need more Christ minded Nigerians in politics, Today Canada is rejecting a sitting governor because of the Abou Pakami Caliphate. APC.

We won't allow terrorist and their sympathizers to take over Nigeria of Zik and Awo.

Obasanjo was right about Tinubu being a dangerous man who would destroy Nigeria and our democracy.

The irony is how the same man unknowingly helped Tinubu to become president. Do you think that is just because of Baba Iyabo’s hatred for Atiku and Jonathan who are better administrators than him huh
.
To me the difference between Tinubu and Obj is the difference between six and half a dozen. Hardly is there any adjective you can use for one that doesn't fit the other.
It is so unfortunate that the real brains in southwest couldn't get to rule Nigeria.

To answer your question, it was a result of being subsumed on self-centeredness that made Obj made that mistake against Jonathan. He never envisaged Tinubu climbing this high.

Supreme court governor is loading shocked never trust Batist with democracy embarassed . Hmmm.. I pray that there's no more to this drama because APC losing Osun this time around that there are 3 Southerners (PBAT, PO and the dark horse Seyi Makinde) in the race is a big gain to Atiku and PO bcs no one is dragging SE with Obi unlike T!nubu whereby Seyi Makinde might stylishly cut his vote in Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and Oyo while PO take the big pound of flesh in Bat backyard, APC will do everything to make sure that Adeleke's victory is view once grin

But they have to deliver for him first or they will also lose their state. He will use his powers against them, they will definitely fall too.
Most of them are returning so he boxed them in a corner to deliver for him or lose out.

So it's a hostage situation? How is he going to do that? He put in 15,000 security personnel with 25 governors and the entire APC machinery with massive financial warchest and still failed to win in an election happening in his backyard. Can he mobilise beyond that across over 28 states at rhe same time? One lesson the governors have picked up from the Osun defeat is that federal might has its limits and that Tinubu is not all that. They now know he needs them far more than they need him. Most of them won their elections with an opposition party but Tinubu lured/coerced them to the APC that is now highly unpopular amongst the masses. He did it to whitewash his own unpopularity.

Of course they won't give up easily.

By the time Accord bring out areas APC stole ballot boxes..their 400k vote will become 300k

With the way people rejoice at the results, it's shows that is the wish of the masses. But your evil and wicked minds will still want to grab it by force.

Anyway Lawyers must get their portion of the largess
They want to protect the local government yam in their custody at all cost. When a goat is eating a yam that doesn't belong to it's owner, and you are driving it away from eating that yam, the goat will rather prever to die there instead of abandoning the yam

Obasanjo is not as bad as Tinubu is in economic reforms and corruption.

Did Obasanjo increase our debt burden when he and Atiku gave us cheap petrol, cheap dollars, low unemployment, prosperity, peace and security?

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun made this known at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
Mr. Edun said that the benefit of the subsidy removal will be plough back into various sectors to improve business environment for local and foreign investment.

Ofunaofu:
Report: Current Govt Added More Debt in Two Years Than Nigeria Accumulated in 55 Years

• Decries Nigeria’s debt service-to-revenue ratio

•Urges FG to declare fiscal emergency

A new policy brief has warned that Nigeria’s worsening debt profile and weak revenue generation have pushed the country into a dangerous fiscal position, with the current administration accumulating more debt in two years than Nigeria recorded during its first 55 years after independence.

The report, released by the Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics LTD/GTE, a Nigerian policy think tank, argued that the country’s debt crisis has evolved into a governance and revenue emergency, as debt servicing obligations now exceed the federal government’s retained earnings.
>
>
According to the think tank, Nigeria’s public debt rose sharply from N87.38 trillion in June 2023 to N159.28 trillion by the end of 2025, with President Bola Tinubu’s administration accounting for about N65.9 trillion of the increase within its first two years in office.

The organisation in the brief titled: “Nigeria Is Borrowing to Breathe—and the Clock Is Ticking”, noted that Nigeria accumulated only about N12.06 trillion in debt from independence in 1960 up to 2015, meaning the current administration added more than five times that amount in just 24 months.

The report stated that while previous governments also contributed significantly to the country’s rising debt burden, the speed of accumulation under the current administration had intensified concerns over fiscal sustainability.

“President Bola Tinubu’s administration has added a further N65.9 trillion in just two years. To put that in perspective: it took Nigeria’s first 55 years of independence to accumulate N12 trillion in debt. The current administration has added more than five times that amount in 24 months,” it argued.

It recalled that Nigeria briefly became almost debt-free externally after the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo secured an $18 billion Paris Club debt relief package in 2005 and paid $12 billion to extinguish about $30 billion in external obligations.

5 mind-boggling revelations from Obasanjo’s ‘My Watch’

5. Tinubu was one of the most corrupt, of the 36 governors

Obasanjo never got along too well with former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu, and unsurprisingly, Tinubu got a mention in the former’s book.
Obasanjo revealed that then EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu tried to investigate almost all the state governors during his tenure but that of the 28 confirmed to be manifestly corrupt or tainted one way or the other, Tinubu’s case was one of the worst.

Daily Champion (Lagos)

Lagos — ABIA State governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and his Lagos State counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not escape justice but would be made to face the full wrath of the law following their recent indictment for alleged corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Chairman of the commission Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who made the vow yesterday said the duo must account for their stewardship and may be thrown out of office.
