There are DEI Hires who also did serious work, and those who were black and hired on the strength of their abilites. No racist, jew, neo nazi, even the Illuminati can bring them down. No one.
They've already been brought down. And this is what most people commenting here fail to see. The real target of the racists who went after him was not actually this man himself. Rather it was black people as a whole, including the other '70 or so' black professors in Cambridge who are in their positions legitimately. This was ultimately yet another calculated smear campaign against people of African descent, and this man was simply the person that was used to serve that purpose. Of course it is extremely dishonest given that not only do the vast majority black scholars all over the world have no issues with plagiarism (including the rest of the black professors at Cambridge - a fact that the media doesn't mention), but tons of white academics have been guilty of plagiarism - a fact also never mentioned.

What makes this even more galling and insidious is the fact that this man was NOT even given his diversity appointment because of being black. Rather, it was because he is an LGBTQ person and looks very much the part! In fact, looking at him, one tends to wonder at first if it is a man or a woman, which explains why some people even in this thread got his gender confused. This is what astonishes me about this whole conversation here. Everyone is just talking about the case as if this was simply a case of the liberal establishment in Cambridge going out of their way to elevate some black guy because they somehow like black people. That is nonsense! Rather, this was clearly motivated by trans promotion interests on the part of the university. Of course the fact that he was also black also played into the calculation, especially given that blacks have been exploitatively used in promoting it for years.

So, in effect, was has basically happened is that the Cambridge establishment used a queer black man to advance LGBTQ in a very questionable way and then when the same man is later accused of plagiarism of some parts of his PhD years earleir, that accusation is then used to wholesale smear the entire black population, the vast majority of whom have never committed any plagiarism in their entire lives nor would they ever do so. And it is being used as a non-sequitur to promote so-called 'black intellectual inferiority' which has been a staple of anti black racism for decades despite having no actual basis in reality. It's a truly outrageous situation.

My point is Arday would not have gotten as far as he did if Cambridge mgt were not pushing for and focusing on meeting an unrealistic DEI target.
The target is not unrealistic. We plenty wey brilliant. The problem is they are looking for stories and narratives (box ticking) over brilliance.

Nigerians who worship white skin, we see you.
I renounce any affiliation with Nigeria. Nigeria is the biggest uncle Tom country on earth.

The guy you're talking to is merely repeating the words of racists. Jason did no plagiarism and earned his position through his hard work. But being in the elite academia society while black make you a huge target, I know that and I've experienced it severally.

Arday is not gay, he apparently is married to a woman with two children.

You guys should also stop making this about racism. The man paid the price for lying. If you don't lie, maybe you won't die. Saying that does not mean there is no racism

And no one is bringing down black academics.

So if I lie about dating multiple models, then my academic work should be judged suspiciously and even after investigations prove my work is legit, the harassment against my work and my merit should continue ? Jeez, it seems by becoming a scientist I also had to wear the cloak of a priest.

You managed to contradict yourself by saying "this is not racism" and later saying "there might be some racism".

The guy who started the harassment is a known racist who was fired from the same university for being racist. The attacks against Jason keep calling him "wokism poster boy". It is all about him being black and these racists believing black people are not smart enough to be professors in places like Cambridge.

Racism was not involved in thishuh Are you serious?? Did you even bother to read the article at all?? And did you even bother to read any of the follow up responses on this very thread that even gave links to further sources showing how the campaign against him was begun and driven by racists, and how white professors who have engaged in even worse acts of plagiarism did not suffer any consequences? Did you actually read any of these things or are you just here to further the agenda of gaslighting and misdirection?

Jason did no plagiarism.
Tomman:
I didn't say he was gay. I merely pointed out that he clearly looks like an LGBTQ person - though whether he identified as one or not I don't know.

This only reinforces the point. If he didn't even do any plagiarism, it only begs the question why on earth the white media would heavily promote such accusations against him in the first place without even waiting to see if investigation verifies it to be true or not. It's because this is what they love to do to black people - smear and demean them at every turn.

Btw, so-called "DEI" is a widespread practice that is benefited to many different minority races as well as white women, often times even in ways that are questionable or outrageous. Yet you NEVER hear these racists talk about it when it is been given to other groups. Never. They only like to talk about it in the context of a black person, basically pretending as if DEI is something that only happens with respect to them when it is completely far from the case.
Re: Jason Arday: "I’ve Turned Down Every Single Interview" - Professor Qadira by Stoplying: 11:03pm On Aug 17
DEI is a policy in the USA, not in the UK. But the racists don't understand this. The thing is that whenever a black person makes it intellectually, the racists automatically believe he was offered the success for being black. They discredit every black person in this way. From what I've experienced, a black person needs to be twice as good as a white person in order to get the job they are both competing for. That's what I see in France, I don't think it's different in the UK.

In France there is a policy to try and get more women into high positions, no policy whatsoever about putting black people in high positions, I'm guessing it's the same in the UK.

This is precisely what is so insidious and outrageous about this dialectic of "DEI" that has been perpetuated against black people for years. Because the reality is, if anything, actually the exact opposite!! Contrary to the nonsense racists constantly promote about black people getting "affirmative action", it is actually white people themselves that have been benefiting from it heavily. It's just that they don't legislate it on paper. They simply perpetuate it in practice. I know this to be especially true in the US. A white person who is far less qualified will routinely get a job or promotion over a far more qualified black person. This has been well documented and I've even seen this happen in real life. And, like you pointed out, a black person has to be more than TWICE as good to have any hope of getting the same opportunity. That, in effect, is also affirmative action for whites. And all this is very common and widespread but goes on in secret. Meanwhile they continue playing this sick public game of constantly painting black people as "DEI recipients".

In France there is a policy to try and get more women into high positions, no policy whatsoever about putting black people in high positions, I'm guessing it's the same in the UK.
That is very common in the UK and, maybe even more so, in US. They are constantly putting white women and non-black ethnic or racial minorities in high positions of power both in government and in the corporate world, sometimes with disastrous consequences especially in the case of white women. It is very much a "woke" trend that has been going on. But people of African descent are conspicuously left out of it even while they continue to be used as the poster child for "DEI" in public rhetoric. Meanwhile, nothing is ever said about all this DEI placements done with these other groups, even by those who call themselves "race realists". Somehow they never broach the issue of "gender realism" because they know it won't be popular or encouraged. And they never bother with "race realism" when it comes to other minority groups who they only like to use as a wedge against black people. They are only obsessed with "black people" because that is the only group they are socialised to hate and go after.
Re: Jason Arday: "I’ve Turned Down Every Single Interview" - Professor Qadira by Stoplying: 11:44pm On Aug 17
I don't care of them trying to put women in high positions, I don't see it as anything wrong, but I'm exhausted of my efforts and my hard earned successes being looked at with suspicion, not just by white racists but also by unsmart black people who believe nobody who has the same colour of skin as them is smart enough to get the job on merit.

Black people in sports and in the entertainment business are often the enemies of black intellectuals. They hang out with white supremacists who claim sports and entertainment are the only fields black people can succeed in by merit. That helps validate these black entertainers as "the leaders of the blacks".

This is why I don't really like black sportsmen and black entertainers, unless they prove themselves to not be uncle toms.

The problem is that they all have to be uncle toms otherwise they will not be allowed to remain in their positions for much longer. And very few of them are willing to make that sacrifice.
