Nomy was rude fine but Biggie went to far and seeing how he has treated other hms who had been rude and disrespectful...its an right to feel some type of way...Shes a houseguest not a slave...like she said she only came last in a game, she no kill pesin....
Mind you she had requested for VE...if she leaves its not the end of the world
I am still trying to make sense of this 'Biggie went too far' narrative.

Firstly, she came last and was supposed to wear her bench warmer jersey and also seat on the bench as instructed by Biggie.

Instead of taking instructions, she decided not to wear the Jersey or seat on the bench.
Biggie decided to transfer the punishment and other infractions she had committed to the following week.

Same HM reluctantly wore the jersey but covered it with another cloth and chose when to seat on the bench.
She preferred to stand.

Mind you,she is not the first HM that has gotten last position and was given a costume to wear for the week.
Even Mide of 10/10 season who is arguably far more prettier than Nomy wore her costume when she came last in her season.

The interesting part is that in her DS today she admitted not following Biggie instructions or rules but pleased with biggie to forgive her which biggie did.

So where is all the unfairness narrative coming from?

Know this that any show or tournament have rules that participants must adhere to.
If you can't obey them, stay in your house and watch as a fan.

Biggie was even lenient.
Probably the Biggie in LD or Pepperdem season would have sent Ninjas to bundle her out of the house.

As for the VE,she has already applied and I hope it's approved so that she can go to her house where she can do what she likes without being questioned or told what to do.

You are purposely misunderstanding. Was she not punished for disobeying her boss? She got a strike, repeated the punishment, cleaned toilets and bathrooms and served it properly the second time. Nobody is saying she should face no consequences.

And since you want to use the boss analogy, use it properly. If I disrespect my boss at work, they can warn me, suspend me, put me on a formal disciplinary process or even sack me. What they should not do is punish me officially, then quietly start taking away normal parts of my job without telling me, while still expecting me to perform on the same level as everyone else. Imagine your boss disciplines you, you serve it, then suddenly you stop getting invited to official meetings everyone else attends, nobody tells you why, and your performance is still judged against theirs. You would call that bad management immediately. Authority does not mean anything done after the first offence becomes automatically reasonable.

And please spare me the emergency Nomy lover talk. I don’t like the babe. Some of us are just capable of disliking somebody and still admitting when production handles something badly.

she was giving a bench to sit on which she didn’t complete adhere to

you know the reason she was made to repeat those punishment was because she didn’t complete the previous punishment 100%

we have seen the likes of sheggz flaunt their clown outfit with no uproar and neither did biggie get them to repeat the punishment the next week so instead of shouting bullying, ask yourself why biggie had to repeat the punishment again cus we all know she isn’t the first housemate to become the tail of the house

And to your 2nd paragraph, can you genuinely explain Nomy storyline in the house cus even if the camera stays on her 100%….the only thing she does is get into altercation with others so please spare me that “hiding nomy” cuz normally the babe doesn’t have much to entertain viewers with anyways

The funny thing is you’re still arguing a point nobody disputed. Yes, she didn’t serve the first punishment properly. That is why she got a strike, had to repeat it and got extra punishment on top. We all watched it. She then served the repeated punishment properly. So how many times do we need to revisit the original offence before you people are satisfied? Nobody called the repeat punishment bullying. The issue has always been everything production started adding around it, especially the diary sessions.

And what does whether you personally find Nomy entertaining have to do with anything? Diary sessions are not a reward reserved for housemates with a storyline you approve of. Even the most boring furniture in that house gets called because it is part of the format and one of the few guaranteed opportunities for a housemate to speak directly to the audience. So saying she doesn’t entertain you anyway actually makes the situation worse, because now you’re basically arguing that production can selectively deprive housemates of normal parts of the game based on how useful you think they are. Abeg, that is not a serious argument.

And just so nobody mistakes my point, I don’t even like Nomy. I’m literally watching her right now defend Oyin pouring water on Chimsom’s bed like that is normal behaviour, which is exactly the kind of nonsense that makes me dislike her. Her attitude is bad, she is badly behaved and she brings plenty of these problems on herself. But call a spade a spade. She was wrong, she was punished, she served it. Production should not now overdo because viewers already dislike her. I’m not fighting for Nomy here, this is bigger than Nomy. It is about whether the game is being run fairly.

Your house analogy still works, just not the way you think. If I invite somebody into my house and they disrespect me, I can warn them, set consequences, or tell them to leave. What would be strange is keeping them as a guest, continuing to tell everyone they are still welcome, but quietly denying them access to one of the normal parts of being there and never even telling them why.

That is my issue with the diary sessions. If Biggie wanted to suspend them as punishment, say it clearly and make it part of the sanction. If her behaviour was serious enough for DQ, then DQ her. But silently withholding something that is part of the normal housemate experience while she is still expected to compete is poor handling. That is the part I am criticising.
So what of Araga and Yusuf that are currently jumping about, unaware they're up for eviction? What would you say about that?

You seem to be setting up a rule for someone else's house.

This is Biggies house and his roof.

His roof, his rules! You don't like it, he'll as it appears keep giving you chances to make amends, and if you can't, you eventually get booted out, either via a DQ or via the voters power.

I don't even see the argument here at all man.

The law of demand and supply reigns supreme here. She applied about 5-6 times as she stated herself.

Anyone should know who's doing who a favor here. BBNaija and BBA has been since when she was wearing diapers, and would probably remain long after she gets booted out.

tioluwalasee:
And this is exactly the problem. Nigerians are too deferential to authority sometimes. Once somebody is Biggie, oga, boss, elder, whatever, people suddenly stop asking whether the person is actually being fair and start shouting respect authority. Biggie is production abeg, not a human being and not God. It is a production crew. Their job is to run the game and apply rules properly, not enter personal beef with a housemate and keep piling things on because she annoyed them or insulted them.

If Nomy has broken enough rules to deserve DQ, then DQ her. Simple. But keeping her there while removing diary sessions, reducing her visibility and generally making it harder for her to play the same game as everyone else is nonsense. The fact that Biggie has the power to do it does not automatically make it reasonable. That mentality of authority must always be right is exactly why some of you will defend anything once it comes from the top.

If Biggie formally announced, as punishment, Nomy will receive no camera time for two weeks, everybody would immediately understand how insane that is. You’re basically telling a contestant on a television popularity competition that she’s still eligible for eviction but you’re deliberately taking away her opportunity to be seen by the people voting.

Diary sessions aren’t quite the same as literally zero camera time, obviously, but the principle is similar. They’re one of the only guaranteed spaces where every housemate gets uninterrupted time to explain themselves, show personality and connect with viewers. Quietly removing that while continuing to put her up for eviction materially handicaps her.

And the silence makes it worse. If Biggie had said your diary sessions are suspended for one week as part of your punishment, I might still think it was excessive, but at least it would be a defined sanction she could serve. Just mysteriously not calling her means she doesn’t even know she’s being punished, why she’s being punished, or when the punishment ends.

How is that supposed to teach her anything? You cannot correct behaviour with a consequence the person doesn’t even know exists. At that point it’s just production quietly fucking with her.
She should prepare her ass for more fvckings then with that attitude.

Araga and Yusuf are a terrible comparison because the secrecy there is the actual game mechanic. They were told they had immunity, the HOH secretly replaced two saved nominees with them, and the whole point is that they are not supposed to know yet. Nobody is claiming that keeping them unaware is meant to correct their behaviour. Nobody is punishing them. Nobody expects them to somehow learn a lesson from information deliberately being withheld for a twist. Once the twist is revealed, the secrecy has served its purpose. You can criticise how production communicated the nomination to viewers, I actually do, but it is still a coherent part of the game.

Now compare that with Nomy. People are defending the missing diary sessions as punishment for her behaviour. Okay, then how does a secret punishment reform anybody? She cannot connect the consequence to the offence because nobody told her there was a consequence. She cannot know what exactly triggered it, how long it lasts or what she needs to do for it to end. That completely destroys the supposed disciplinary purpose. Imagine your boss secretly removes you from important meetings for two weeks because of misconduct, never tells you that this is disciplinary action, then later says it was meant to teach you accountability. Teach you how? You didn’t even know you were serving punishment.

And his roof, his rules still doesn’t answer anything. Obviously Biggie can make twists, change nominations and punish housemates. The argument is about how he exercises that power. By that logic there is literally no production decision anybody can ever criticise because Biggie owns the house. Unequal punishment? His roof. Bad twist? His roof. Favouritism? His roof. Tomorrow he wakes up and gives one housemate five strikes because her face annoys him, his roof abi? Once your entire defence is the person in authority has the power to do it, you have stopped discussing whether the decision itself makes sense.

So what did she do with all the punishments she was aware of yet broke deliberately? What did she learn with all the rules she repeatedly floated despite it being brought to her attention by Biggie, yet only obeyed after his enforcement of such punishments?

But after every deliberate and fragrant disrespect of rules both those in the house and we the viewers have observed, she gets punished by not getting a Diary Session, and hell is let loose because she wasn't told. You want Biggie to talk to someone who chooses when to listen. Biggie too can choose whether to speak of his punishment to such a person or not.

Okay, I agree that the comparison was poorly articulated, what of the events of her own singular doing that eventually led to the withholding of her diary session.

Do you know how many times Biggie has even had to ignore her tantrums and continued speaking when she mouths off to him? Ask yourself, is she the only one in the house? What's so special about her, that fuels her affinity for punishment?

Cogitate over these as honest as you can, bearing in mind even the production you earlier mentioned are made up of humans to the best of my knowledge and not AI or robots, then see whether she's been an emotionally intelligent being or a spoilt brat.

Even Temi Nkem that acts like a spoilt brat and I've recently watched told Biggie he was rude, is smart enough to play her games once in a while- though she too might have hers coming if she continues the Nomy way. I see the 2 of them rolling together and won't be surprised if she starts getting hit too.

Fight with HMs all you want, but don't mouth off to Big Brother. He's your host!

If you can't respect him in his house, kindly take the VE. Biggie was just being kind to be honest. As people have said earlier on, a guy doing all she'd done would have exceeded the strike limits.

Her DS today was to have a real convo with her to help her see reason, but she lawyered up all the way!

What an ass of a girl undecided

Nna, you people have time. I haven’t gotten over Neche’s VE and Nomy is now who everyone is on about. I do not care. The removal of her strikes is a trap which production set. Passive Chimsom being on her matter is also a trap production set. When the guy gets eliminated from the competition or draws away, she’ll return to her bad ways. When that happens, she’ll do her worst. That is when BB will announce, “watch the screen.” All her transgressions from Week 1 to the final moment will be played and she’ll be booted off. She isn’t off the hook. She only feels so. If you want her to remain on your screen, pray daily. Her days are numbered.
