Sometimes I wonder, since we live In a country where the people’s choice can be manipulated, ignored or overturned, why exactly do we even bother to vote?

If your votes doesn't count . They won't bother campaigning, do rally share gifts and money.

Everything sha to sow discord and demarket Tinubu... I didn't hear any body saying thank you Tinubu for letting democracy take it's course in osun state.

People like me know when to cite facts and figures. Going by INEC's published result, 20 governors did not win the state for their presidential candidate and that is fact. It does not indicate believe. Fact is that INEC declared Tinubu winner. If you can't interpret that statement, then you will not understand my comment. You need to understand what logic is, what deduction is and what comprehension is. My statement has in no way shown believe but simply used the figures they gave. The same people claimed Tinubu won Rivers but the figures do not tally.

People like me know figures were manipulated and there is no need to convince anyone about that. It's not today results have been rigged or/and manipulated today. Adeleke is in Abuja pledging loyalty to Tinubu while Nairaland mods are pushing videos of some random people to home page as the representative of Osun people. The joke is on the mod as far as I’m concerned.

Sanwo-olu was governor of Lagos when Tinubu lost Lagos, yet he won his own re-election. APC had 21 governors in 2023 but Tinubu only won about 6 APC states in the presidential elections even though the opposition didn't flip any state in the gubernatorial election. I assure you, Nigerians can tell the difference between Tinubu and APC. Tinubu is even more unpopular than the APC.

Does it matter? The reason given by Adeleke for deciding to support Tinubu is that Tinubu is Yoruba but the people of Osun were fully aware that he was Yoruba when they voted against him in 2023.

In any case, neither Atiku nor Obi are orphans. Na person born them too.

The math's say that if APC can come first or second in most states then APC will the presidential election, I not sure a number of people understand this. If ADC or NDC are unable to match that then neither of them can win the election, and from the Osun states results neither ADC nor NDC came first or second.

While those Accord numbers we saw in Osun will be split during the presidential elections, the APC block votes most likely will increase. I think people need to take emotions out of these things and face facts regardless of how bitter it may taste, only a merger can defeat APC, simple
