You wrote all these without properly reading my response , lol

Where did i say "show us the subsidy money "
CharlesCNG:
So, since you do not know , let me explain if you have not already closed your mind.

Subsidy removal does not create one giant vault called “subsidy savings.”

It reduces what government would otherwise have spent subsidising each litre of petrol.
The fiscal space then shows up through higher FAAC allocations to federal, state and local governments, debt servicing, infrastructure, social interventions and other budgeted spending.

States and LGAs have received significantly larger monthly allocations since subsidy removal.
Programmes such as student loans, infrastructure spending and targeted interventions are part of the broader post-subsidy fiscal response.
You can argue about whether the money has been spent well enough. That is legitimate.
But saying “show us the subsidy money” as though ₦10 trillion was withdrawn and kept in a separate bank account misunderstands how public finance works.

When a government stops spending trillions on a subsidy, do you expect the savings to sit in one labelled account called “SUBSIDY MONEY,” or do you expect them to flow through the federation account and the national budget?

In other words returning subsidy simply mean Dangote refinery will pack up and Nigeria will lose saved fx used in importation.

Reason why many are poor is not because they are not hardworking but it's because they have refused to use their common sense.
The same common sense that is running away from you.
What do you think subsidy means. Get an education please.
Subsidy will not affect Dangote refinery. That means if Dangote is selling petrol for 1200 naira, the government could pay 700 naira then the citizens will pay 500 naira.
The government could pay subsidy to refinery owners.
Another way also it could be done is government paying a reduction in crude oil purchase by refineries, in return they could bring down the cost of the finished product.

This is what happens when political conclusions come before arithmetic.
You made four assertions
Let's rebut this point by point.

CLAIM 1: “Buhari paid only ₦8 trillion subsidy in eight years.”

Not quite. Published estimates put Buhari-era subsidy/under-recovery higher. 2022 plus the first half of 2023 alone consumed roughly ₦7–₦8 trillion. So the ₦8 trillion claim for Buhari's entire eight years is already suspect.

CLAIM 2: “Tinubu paid ₦6 trillion subsidy in his first six months.”

You mixing two adminisrations.

NNPC's 2023 figures included about ₦3.3 trillion incurred from January–May—before Tinubu became President.

Tinubu's August–December component was around ₦1.8 trillion.

Buhari incurred part of the bill; Tinubu inherited the ledger—but you mischievously want to hand Tinubu the entire receipt. 😂

CLAIM 3: “Tinubu has outborrowed Buhari in three years.”

WRONG AGAIN. Debt stock ≠ new borrowing.A huge part of the naira increase came from revaluing existing foreign debt after naira depreciation. Another major component was Buhari-era Ways & Means liabilities subsequently recognised/securitised as public debt.

Again , You being mischievous by renaming exchange-rate revaluation and inherited liabilities “Tinubu borrowing.”

CLAIM 4: “Tinubu is splurging subsidy savings on governors for defections.”

Arrant Nonsense . Where is the evidence?

FAAC allocations are constitutionally distributed to federal, state and local governments. Higher government revenues increased the distributable pool. States that could not pay salaries before subsidy removal are not only paying but are building infrastrctures.

Calling statutory allocations political bribes can only come from the figments of the imagination of an atikulated mind

Basically what you have done is mix Buhari's bills with Tinubu's, confuse debt stock with borrowing and turn FAAC allocations into defection payments without evidence—

then announce:“ATIKU WILL BRING SUBSIDY BACK!”

Before Atiku brings anything back, answer one question:

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST—AND WHO WILL PAY?
Atiku is not bringing subsidy back otherwise ask him to provide details of how.
Atiku is just confused and desperate and lying.
If you ended in clime 2 I would have accented what you said but adding other climes made me see that the rest climes were nonsense by you.

Atiku is simply a desperate politician looking for power by any means possible. Going back to subsidy is ruinous for our nation. What is more important is ensuring that the gains are well spent to impact positively on the people's lives. We need to focus more on our Governors and LGs to achieve that. Also, we need to review the constituency projects being handled outside the regular budget plans. It's easy for fraud to thrive in that situation.

Thank you very much for schooling these bunch. Would you really blame them? 95% of these people have no minds of their own. They lack the intellectual capacity to look at issues holistically and form their own opinion based on objective analysis of the situation. They lazily jump on anything that align with their thinking even when it is glaringly illogical.

These are the same people that would cry wolf when their parents are owed salaries and the government no longer have the funds to pay for NELFUND and all of that. The infrastructures being built by the states will suffer funding and queues will return to our filling stations.that is when they will know that subsidy is back..

When they come back in their second life (if there's anything like that) they can go ahead and vote Atiku. But in this one, they already know that there's no vacancy in Aso Rock.

Case closed!

Also because governments now have more money. Find out about state allocations before 2023 and now. I think the least a state can get per month now is N16 billion whereas it was about N3 billion. So, there's more money at their disposal.

I supported it but baron and his apc thieves are only looting the savings from it.So let it ne returned so the all Nigerians will enjoy it.
You saved something from somewhere to loot it by few and u want us to continue to support the policy. Are we unwise or what
I don’t know if you’re male or female, but honestly, I don’t care. I’m loving you so, so much right now for this comment! You just said it all exactly as it is.

Subsidy removal could have been one of the best things to happen to Nigeria if our leaders weren’t such a corrupt, selfish and insensitive bunch. These old fools never make policies with the ordinary Nigerian in mind, but for themselves and their own personal interests.

We should have known better. At this point, let them bring back the subsidy and let all of us benefit from it! It’s one of the few tangible benefits the common man gets from this country!!!!!

Now put your brain to task, what it's today value of 10k used to carry Olosho in 2015 and a 10k used to buy Dangote share in 2015?
Let me shock you a bit
Dangote cement highest share price in 2015 was N181. In other words, N10k could get you approx 50 shares.

As at today, Dangote share price is N1,034. If you multiply by your 50 shares, it's worth N51,700. Good right? Wrong!!

In real terms, that N10k was worth $45 in 2015
Today, at N51,700 it's worth only $37. All thanks to your god devaluing the naira

So is it not better you use the N10k to carry olosho and enjoy yourself in 2015 than to be staring at loss of value of over 20% in the face everyday?

Lol. There goes your brain. Nor use this brain cross road o

You are focusing only on the half-empty bottle aspect of fuel subsidy removal—often with deliberate distortions—while ignoring the half that is filling up.
Atiku's plan - of which he has not provided a single detail will be a total disster. indeed it will collapse the economy. I will provide you with more than twenty reasons but will start with just one:DANGOTE AND LOCAL OTHER LOCAL REFINERS.

Nigeria’s petrol market is no longer the old import-dependent system: with Dangote and other local refiners now producing, Atiku’s detail-free “restore subsidy” talk raises one simple question: will government force local refiners to sell below cost, or will taxpayers pay them the difference?

Until he answers that, “I will restore subsidy” is not a policy; it is a slogan without an invoice.

BEFORE ATIKU “BRINGS SUBSIDY BACK,” PLEASE GET ATIKU AND HIS SUPPOERTERS , AT LEAST THE OLD SUBSIDY ARITHMETIC RIGHT
It's either you people have been brainwashed by criminals in power or you are one of those who they pay to defend their madness on social media.

Dangote refines crude oil to sell to both Nigerians and foreign buyers. The NNPC gives a a fraction of crude oil to Dangote in naira to satisfy local demand while Dangote imports the rest.

Crude oil is a raw material Nigeria has in abundance. If Atiku wants to subsidize the refined products distributed locally, he will only acquire the data of how much products Nigerians consume every day, subsidize it for citizens while Dangote maintains its price for international buyers. This is no rocket science!

Tell your Tinubu that his "subsidy is gone" policy has only enriched his fellow thieves in power, while destroying the middle class, skyrocketing inflation and leaving struggling Nigerians worse off!

We're Never going back to the Dark Days wben States like Abia couldn't pay Civil Servants and Pensioners.
Abia was bad and clueless management. It had less to do with volume of allocation received. If a state like Anambra were meeting up with their obligations on the allocation received, then something was fundamentally wrong with those who governed Abia in the past. I guess it was also allocation that made Abia the then dirtiest state?
Re: Atiku’s Subsidy Plan Retrogressive, Fiscally Unsustainable – Bayo Onanuga by Rayjay45: 4:30am On Aug 21
CharlesCNG:
Yes, Dangote Refinery can be subsidised. But that does not solve Atiku’s problem—it simply changes who receives the subsidy cheque.

If Dangote’s commercial price is above Atiku’s desired pump price, government must either:

pay Dangote/marketers the difference;
give the refinery cheaper crude or FX;
absorb the gap through NNPC;
or force sales below economic cost.

So the basic questions remain:

At what benchmark price? How much subsidy per litre? Who gets paid? Who verifies volumes? And where will the money come from?

Saying “Dangote can be subsidised” is not the answer.

It is simply another way of saying taxpayers will pay the difference.
Atiku has no plan! Subsidy restoration will collapse the country in less than three months!! Subsidy restoration is voodoo economics.

Don't be deceived by the desperate man Atiku, it is impossible to reversed back to fuel subsidy, the questions we should ask Atiku is; How will he be able to pay the minimum wage?, How will be able to sustain the allocations going to states that has been triple by this current govt of Tinubu, thirdly, will he be able to pay the the army and police that their salaries has been increased from 49000 to 180000 and police from 50000 to 77000. if you reverse back are you saying a state that a state that is receiving 30 billions currently now will start receiving 10 billions with the exchange that stood at 1300 to dollar, my people this impossible or else, Nigeria will collapse economically and as a nation if it happens, think it very well. I think Mr Atiku is just being desperate
