astOorR:"Portuguese President António José Seguro defended the measure, saying the face is central to human identity and communication and describing an uncovered face as an important pillar of social trust"...That is genuine enough. |

Emeskhalifa:Right to do what? A Muslima can wear a burka if she so desires. Don't just do it in the public. Our face is a central part of our identity. If I can't ascertain who you are, how can we live peacefully? Do business? Abeg o! That's a good call. |
| Re: Portugal Bans Women From Full-Face Coverings In Public Places by LordLicifer(m): 5:25pm On Aug 21 |
christistruth01:I don't think UK would ever ban it. France did now Portugal but if the UK-istan can ban it, it would be great. But i doubt it, UK is a musleeem country |
| Re: Portugal Bans Women From Full-Face Coverings In Public Places by LordLicifer(m): 5:30pm On Aug 21 |
Emeskhalifa:Well... There are no indigenous muslims in Portugal any muslim there are from muslim countries. Besides, if it comes to that the government would say it is a matter of national security once they say that there is nothing anyone can do. |

Emeskhalifa:The problem is your eyes, your way of reasoning and your inability to take charge of your behaviour, instead of allowing what you see to control you.. This is 21 century.. Decency is not all about hijab. |

MrsAyomide:You beat around the bush without answering the question. Oya go back and answer the question and stop forming woke, what do we call going about almost naked? |
| Re: Portugal Bans Women From Full-Face Coverings In Public Places by Emeskhalifa(m): 6:02pm On Aug 21 |
bukatyne:But you have the right to go about almost naked even in public? It's your body and nobody's business? But a Muslima cannot put on her Burkah in public, suddenly it is no longer about her body and nobody's business? |

Their country, their rules. People should abide by the rules or leave the country. |

Penguin2:Iran, Palestine, Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis and all the terrorist organizations worldwide exposed themselves. They thought that the war with Israel was the right timer to take over the rest of the world, spreading their hatred and wickedness. You don’t like people, but you like their country. You want to live there and receive benefits while not working. |

| Re: Portugal Bans Women From Full-Face Coverings In Public Places by honesttalk21: 6:20pm On Aug 21 |
MrsAyomide:The same half-truths, while conveniently ignoring the last paragraph of what you shared. At this point, the issue isn’t just the law; it’s the way you’re framing it. Comments like wearing nonsense in the name of religion, calling it self-torture, or suggesting that people hide weapons or that men use the veil to cause mayhem make the underlying hostility toward Islam pretty obvious. You can dislike the practice if you want, but that doesn’t change what the law actually says. Portugal bans full-face coverings in public, not the hijab. It imposes €150–€3,000 fines, with exemptions for health, work, art, weather, worship, diplomatic missions and aircraft. The law targets coverings such as the niqab and burka while leaving ordinary headscarves untouched. Calling it a “hijab ban” is therefore legally misleading. And the law’s definition of religion extends to a way of life, which is also worth noting. |
| Re: Portugal Bans Women From Full-Face Coverings In Public Places by ElevationD: 6:20pm On Aug 21 |
Emeskhalifa:Fine. So take your burkah back to your country. Or better still, there are 52 countries in the world where you can practice your religion peacefully, that is if it possible. Go to any of those countries where ladies do not expose their bodies, so your eyes would not be seeing abominations. Leave countries where ladies expose their countries. They are in their countries and not yours. How can ladies wear very expensive jewelry and cover them all up with burkahs? How is it abominable that perfumes on the dresses of women wearing burkahs arouse their men. Heads need to be examined please. |
