bassdow:I have been searching for a lithium battery around 100k but I only found tubular batteries. And the first person I contacted told me his battery last 8 hours after full charge. Now see this one saying 3 hours.. Please how many hours range am I supposed to watch out for?

Thazard:don’t buy used tubular battery you don’t know the history,,you will cry…that one saying his own will last for 8hrs nah lie o run..Except your load is only 50w below…Just wait, save up and go for 100ah lithium even if nah 50ah… |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:09pm On Aug 20 |
Thazard:AnyOne giving you a specific time frame is mistaken or misleading you. Lots of variables affect such timing. Same with solar panels. It's better you pick an engineer and discuss with them. Most sellers are after letting off their product and would say what's necessary to make that happen. Once again, it's easier buying nonSense Lithium batteries than buying leadAcid batteries. Lithium is better BUT only when you buy the right one. If you can't afford a good lithium battery, abeg buy a used quality leadAcid battery. Hopefully you understand this comment of mine. |

Good Evening House, I just bought this setup recently and I want to build a 12V DIY Battery pack that can last up to 24 hours to power my qasa chargeable Fan, laptop and router. It's a 1000 Watts Yongfa Sachet Inverter, A 30 Amps PWM Solar Charge Controller and a battery pack which lasts just 4 hours Max. I also have a Lithium 245 Watts Mono Panel which I can use but i need a suitable battery system for it. I currently can't afford those Bigger LiFeP04 Battery Packs

Vicky2k:for long time running of your sensitive electronics , please get a PURE SINE WAVE SACHET INVERTER! |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 4:30pm On Aug 20 |
AyarmBoye:Normally, except for rare cases, not really worth it buying brand new non lithium batteries. If used, and you know or have someone to help you check, and the price is good enough, no issue. Also when it comes to Tubular batteries, the cost of adding distilled watter overtime eats into whatever savings you thought you had EXCEPT you like me not paying for the water. |

Vicky2k:This can't really be as efficient as selectively boosting up to maximum of 18.5v to 19v for the laptop while the Fan and router uses the raw 12v output. Having to first boost to 220 to 240v AC only to drop it down to between 12v and 18.5v DC is to me complete silly waste of resources. In other words, you don't need an inverter for just those loads you mentioned up there. And there are readyMade circuits in market sef, hence not like before you've to cook up the circuits. Have shared it numerous times. I run both 12v and 48v system and my 12v system for about 15-years powers 3 laptops, some routers and modems, more than 4 DC fans, 3 external monitors of varying sizes, external Tv antaena (modified to run off USB port), etc. Not until recently (less than 2-weeks), was even feeding the laptops 12v directly but had to revert back to boosting to 18.5v so as not to kill the motherboard of one of the laptops. Basic knowledge tells when you lower voltage, current draw rises and vice-vesa. And you even appear to be using non pureSineWave inverter which ain't adviceAble for things such as laptop |

Vicky2k:what's the ah of the battery in it, you can pair this with your panel and enjoy light 24/7.. i know what am saying |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Kingadex60(m): 6:42pm On Aug 20 |
Thazard:don't ever buy tubular ooo.. u better go buy lithium battery or find a better builder to build lithium for you |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 7:38pm On Aug 20 |
Kingadex60:but he needs tell us the capacity and/ or voltage He's after. Coming from this thread means He/She knows Valto and mrReed or even those in the other thread. mayBe na small money big battery e dey find. A lot of times, people don't care what you saying. They're more interested with what they hearing. And buying Tubullar battery doesn't make economic sense for small setUps. if you must use leadAcid battery for small setUp, let it be dry cell |

toscotech:I know Growatt communicates with most batteries that have a CAN or RS485 port. The ones I'm sure of are any batteries with a Seplos or JK BMS, Deye batteries, Felicity batteries, and LVTopSun batteries. So give it a shot-you might be in luck! |

2* 440 or 450 watts panels needed. Note : I'm in Abeokuta Ogun state |

bassdow:as for me even on a low budget, I'll rather choose sunfit Gel battery over tubular or the regular lead acid batteries |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 4:22pm On Aug 21 |
Kingadex60:Funny enough, a lot of people don't know what a GEL battery is. You said that because you informed. Majority of people, including professionals ain't. All they know is leadAcid, Tubullar and Lithium. To them, if it's not Lithium and doesn't have water, it's leadAcid. |

bkuranga:The Bushburgh is so good. 2.2kw on start up and then fluctuates from 900w - 1.6kw when it's cooking food and it cooks so so fast. Haven't used my gas since it came. I recommend, it's awesome |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Kingadex60(m): 6:03pm On Aug 21 |
bassdow:really.. people don't know Gel battery ke |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 7:49pm On Aug 21 |
Kingadex60:you would be surprised. Mind you, even GEL is kind of lead acid battery; just like Tubular |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Kingadex60(m): 7:53pm On Aug 21 |
bassdow:it's still better that tubular you add distilled water.. still stronger though than lead acid |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bkuranga(m): 9:14pm On Aug 21 |
Bruteality1:That's good to hear. Is the energy consumption adjustable as well? You said fluctuating. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AyarmBoye(m): 11:50pm On Aug 21 |
Kingadex60:gel battery is not better than Tubular battery unless the gel battery is high quality like Quanta, vitron,Felicity which are very very expensive …..but this shouldn’t be debated upon as LifePo4 done take over |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 9:34am On Aug 22*. Modified: 12:30pm On Aug 22 |
AyarmBoye:Anytime and Everytime I speak about leadAcid batteries as alternatives, I often emphasize on "if you can't afford a Quality Lithium based battery, at least go for a Quality leadAcid battery" If you not going for the Quality ones, doesn't really matter if it's Lithium or leadAcid, you go still suffer. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AyarmBoye(m): 10:44am On Aug 22 |
bassdow:100% agreed |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by justified007: 1:51pm On Aug 22 |
2 nos of 450 watts panels needed in Abeokuta Ogun state. 08094417343 |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Bruteality1: 4:35pm On Aug 22 |
bkuranga:It's adjustable but it's best to leave it at the highest. Let's say 1.5kw per hour and the food will cook before an hour |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Kingadex60(m): 5:58pm On Aug 22 |
AyarmBoye:adding water in tubular is still a red flag, that's the more of the reason I will choose Gel battery over it, at least it'll last longer than the time I'll looking out to change water often |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AyarmBoye(m): 7:10pm On Aug 22 |
Kingadex60:so that once in 6-8 months nah work? Nah your money sha,,that’s your choice |
