You go explain taya
TharyeS:
I'm just here laughing at every comment, misconception, and misrepresented identity flying around. I couldn't care less, and trust me, I'm the least perturbed about the current state of things.
Imoci, I didn't intentionally disappear with your money, alongside two other Nairalanders and the two I refunded when the rider stopped taking calls. Of course, in one way or another, my deals could have been incriminating, but not in the way you painted them. The buyers who reside between Sango and Iyana Ipaja got all their packages, and the disappearance only happened when the delivery guy got to Iyana Ipaja. So apparently, if he hadn't been arrested, you would have gotten the PC you paid for. But if I were you, I'd remain anonymous and avoid unintentionally implicating myself.
Yaol, calm down, read through, and learn.
Do I regret my decision? Possibly. But will I do it again and again if faced with the same situation? Yes, I will. Do I need anyone to pity me? Never. Pity be damned... just read.
How did I come about these gadgets? I read where one talkative joker said they were imaginary deals. Lol.
Every single item I posted was sold either here or on Facebook. Every single one, down to my shoes. Back to the question of how the gadgets came about:
See, I used to be a very upright guy, and I want to believe I still am. I've refunded quite a number of buyers, taken responsibility for damaged items, and given discounts where it mattered as compensation for deals below par. I'm not entirely demonic, at least I never planned to be, but I knew a day like this would come, and I was prepared.
I grew up in the North with heightened moral policing, unlike in the South, so when I relocated, I was still very much aligned with my upbringing. I got married to the best woman in the whole world and had the most beautiful daughter the world has ever seen. Life was sweet, and I had no reason to cut corners, especially as a first class graduate who got immediate employment with one of the biggest Nigerian owned companies. The pay was good, and life was smooth. I got transferred to Abeokuta some years ago, and life remained great. Eventually, I moved to Lagos, where I invested heavily in logistics and haulage services, about 11 bikes in total and 3 good buses. Life was going well.
Then my first experience with Southern corruption came. A dispatch rider I trusted so much disappeared one Saturday morning with customers' packages worth over 3 million Naira at the time. I felt like the earth should swallow me, but of course, I be man. While battling those losses, a few months later, my only child collapsed at school and was rushed to the hospital. That was the last time I would hear her talk. All manner of names were given to her condition, and bills were piling up fast. Before you knew it, 2 buses were sold, and 10 bikes, after one was stolen, became 2. I sold all I could to see my only child recover at 40, all to no avail. The more I spent, the more her health deteriorated.
Eventually, it turned out to be acute leukemia, and she needed to be flown abroad for treatment. I needed close to 14 million Naira. Where was I going to get that from? I begged and sold everything else I had, but could barely raise 4 million Naira, after already spending close to 7 million Naira before we even got the real diagnosis.
Then something interesting happened. I assembled all the high end phones we had and sent them to Ikeja. Till today, the Ikeja guy pulled one or two tricks, and I ended up losing 4 phones. I just laughed. I laughed because they had no idea what was about to befall them. Don't get me wrong, please, I'm not saying it's something to be proud of, but I insist that I did what any man would do. So even if I get caught today, I'll bet my soul that I'll be smiling proudly with cuffs on my wrists. Feeling proud and all.
I remembered what that Edo guy taught me by disappearing with my bike and customers' valuables. I remembered how my last hope from my entire family's phones vanished because Computer Village guys wanted to be smart.
So I started creating parody accounts on delivery platforms (Uber, inDrive, Bolt). I beat all their security setups, exploited every single bug in the apps, and made sure the accounts were active. Then I had unknown individuals, who were paid handsomely, of course, go to Computer Village, accept deliveries, and disappear. I brought those items here to sell cheaply. Not to smoke, drink, impress, or oppress, but to take care of my only surviving child. Believe me or not, I saw her smile some days ago, and I shed tears of happiness. Whatever happens, happens. I have achieved my aim.
Like I said, I expected a day like this. I knew this would happen. While Imoci and a few others whose names I won't mention, unless they reveal themselves, might think I planned to steal from them, nope, far from it.
The delivery guy was handing out all the items that were paid for, but when he got to Iyana Ipaja, the guy who requested the 100k PC set him up. It's the same Adexvicity, or whatever his moniker is. So the rider was arrested in my stead, and he is at the station as we speak with a couple of items that I assume will be seized as exhibits. My only fear is that these items were labeled with the addresses and phone numbers of the buyers. I am praying they don't get roped into something beyond them.
I insist, I am down for whatever comes. The most important thing has been achieved, and I am definitely ready to do the time. My daughter lives, and that in itself is a blessing.
To those being roped into my actions, especially Ab.izz, I sincerely apologize, and I hope life treats you better than you could ever imagine. I am deeply sorry for how things panned out. And to those who lost their hard earned cash, especially Egbon K... I am deeply sorry. It was never my intention to scam you. Never. But I knew all along that life would eventually strike, and things would spiral out of control.
Peace. ✌️

Peace. ✌️

Your Moniker should have just been “MiseryRider” or “Misery Seller “

Why can’t you just be written and be selling this kind of stories to Nollywood ,

This one Title can just be “ The Misery Dispatch Rider Season 1

This is a long con almost executed to perfection but for the fact that the moniker used to create initial police case ruse can be linked to the accused moniker.

The whole idea was to make the "real scam" perpetuated the lesser of the evil so the victims will be discouraged from reaching out for their goods because of a non-existent police case.

I won't say I approve of it for ethical reasons but I respect the execution. grin cheesy
