Tharyes wey I dey hail as king of great item at a great price?

Omo!

There is no police or DSS case pending anywhere.
It is a ruse to serve as deterrence to make the victims shy away from pursuing recovery of their money.

The person who broke the news of police invitation, the person who said his brother is a DSS officer on the case, the regular customers and the person who defrauded you people are all one of the same person- Thrayes.

All these shenanigans are just to muddle the waters about what is real and what is not so victims will not see recovery as worthwhile.

There is no free lunch even in Freetown afterall.

No doubt.
Make all buyers on the thread, recall all items from their customers early o, running into loss is better of rouge as partner in crime.

Most importantly if its too cheap to be real then it isn't real, to the Nl'der looking for distress 17PM, by the time you eventually get caught in the web, you will be not just be in distress also you will be jailed.

TharyeS, if you anticipated your caught day as claimed just reach out to your victims already, I know refund isn't an option, but atleast if they are willing to return stolen items which they purchased unknowingly, kindly assist them with the details of the victims you stole them from, so they can clear their names as soon as possible, not until they/ their buyers are caught by law enforcement.
Just imagine someone going about his legitimate daily profession and decide to flip sales for extra cash and in now into this mess, what would his or her reputation amount to, to their immediate environment.

And know this you cannot run or hide forever, your family will feel the heat.

Pertinent lessons and advise you stated here, bro.

In addition, I have made the following personal learnings from this incident:

Let us come to terms with the realization that Clearance sales almost no longer exists in Nigeria. Stop asking for unrealistic and outrageously low prices. If you do, you are most likely asking to buy stolen goods, and you become complicit.

We should retain some level of circumspection and scrutinize sellers who constantly post items for sale at prices significantly lower than market realities. People like DenreleDave should desist from being praise-singers of such sellers and should ask pertinent questions instead to know the source of such goods.

Also, never transact with any dispatch rider whose face is covered. You have the right to request to have them uncover their face throughout the course of the transaction with you, and going from this incident, it is now a good idea to discretely make videos/pictures of them and bike, and also inform them that you have done so. This will make them rethink any ulterior motive they may have. I will personally share this particular learning across my social networks. I implore us to do so as well. We have a duty to protect ourselves

Haven't been here for like 3 days, then last night I noticed the long pages and I knew something is cooking.

Choi....this life!

I have bn reading silently for a very long time. I have some persons n deals I wanted to close but with what am seeing, I can't trust anyone. Including the escrow that is well known n trusted. Am just disappointed. I wish the government hold the owner of nairaland accountable. He/she needs to explain why their platform is use for perpetuating fraudulent activities and also explain steps taken to avoid future occurrence.
The admin or owner of this platform have alot of work to do. That been said, avoid buying from anyone again. Go to the shop n buy. Keep your receipt and take some pic. Don't believe anyone here anymore. Even your profile might scam you
