One of the many shortcomings of Islam, is the way it objectifies women.

In the same Afghanistan women are banned from attaining secondary and university education, women cannot sing, women cannot speak loudly in public, women must cover their whole body including their face in public, women cannot be journalist or tv presenters, all female owned business including hair salons and restaurants are banned, women cannot seek for divorce even when there is domestic violence, there is no minimum age for marrying a girl child, women are banned from working for NGO's.

Women in Afghanistan today are essentially designated sex objects and baby making machines, nothing more.
