These are different cultural backgrounds with different ideology, Iran, Afghanistan etc. these stuff dated years back, people marry up to 20 wives as the case may be, Islam cap it at 4, same as marrying age. The prophet didn't do it first, it's been in circulation before then. If I ask you marry vs Joseph age(before the prophet) when they got married. Same as Africa, 300yrs ago.

These are things subjected to change as technology advance. But my stance is to not shift the issue away from the culprit just for some silly applaud.

You ask me why early marriage is encourage in Asia, well they don't objectify women like the west does it.

Scholarly opinions are allowed in their written books. But it is important to identify them as such and not to canonise them immediately because that's where you find the moving parts.
