We’ve all heard the stories. Miss a repayment on those popular loan apps and suddenly your phone turns into a war zone — threats, insults, calls to your village people, the whole package.

But this video currently making the rounds on X flips the script completely.

A young woman working for a loan company is on a call with defaulters… and instead of the usual intimidation tactics, she’s straight-up begging. Voice cracking, face full of pure workplace fatigue, she pleads with people to just pay their loans. The overlays say it all: “Headache go first catch you” and “Women at work.”

It’s both funny and strangely relatable. You can almost feel the pressure from her supervisors, the targets she has to hit, and the sheer exhaustion of chasing people who clearly have zero plans of paying anytime soon.

In a country where aggressive debt collection has become its own dark comedy genre, watching the collector become the one doing the begging hits different. It’s the kind of video that makes you laugh out loud and then immediately feel a little bad for laughing.

Some people collect this money to drink, smoke and womanize while a few take this loan to invest in a business the know little or nothing about... Marximalist measures should be put on place for the apprehension of these kind of people for fraud and ability to defraud under false pretense.

You borrowed money and your lender is begging you to pay back. If they take an extreme action now, those defaulters will start wailing about their human rights

I always say that Nigerians are horrible people. Little wonder this country is a complete mess!
