Falana was actually correct because at the end of the engagement with them VDM,VDM had to apologize for speaking recklessly during the gathering. Was Falana wrong to have indirectly said you were not qualify to be called to the occasion

The issue of discourse was about security and you don't need to be a lawyer to have a say in security issue in this country, the other time UNILAG invited MC Okuomo to speak on transport related topic in one of their department conference thereabout so what stops the NBA from inviting Nigerians from speaking about security issue of not that you guys have a specific dislike f9r the young man
1. There are security experts more suited to the role than a social media noise maker and clout chaser
2. He is too lousy to be in such a gathering
3. Yes, I dislike him. I generally dont like loud mouthed vainglorious airheads like him.

There is an entertainment segment of the conference. This particular segment is meant to be one of the most serious parts. It is meant to provoke intellectual thought with Vincent Martins Otse does not have to offer.

He has his value as a mass mobilizer but this was not the audience for him.
Thank you!

At least someone has spoken my mind.

It’s kind of sad with the low standard and the way NBA has lowered the bar recently with VDM invitation show how serious we are in our country. And this is a template and a testament to the fact that the next edition will invite people like Peller and Jarvis, Carter Efe, Kolu, Portable, etc. The kind of Pablo Escobar government you people have.
What do you expect from a society where merit and sophistication have no meaning. I heard the NBA once invited that nuisance called Portable as well.
That's not the saddest part. The saddest part is how Nigeria's youths take these clowns seriously. You can see some of them defending the nonsense here and insulting Falana. The Nigerian society has gone to the dogs

Security doesn’t have anything to do literacy. Some person that ended in secondary education are more literate than a lot of so called universities graduate.

Challenged the non-implementation of the Universal Basic Education (UBE) Act, establishing before the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice that every Nigerian child has a legally enforceable right to free and compulsory basic education.

Secured court judgments upholding the right of female police officers to marry without discriminatory administrative restrictions.

Defending Press Freedom & Human Rights Regionally: Won historic cases at the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice against neighboring governments (such as The Gambia under Yahya Jammeh) over the illegal detention and torture of journalists, establishing major regional human rights precedents.

A gathering of intellectuals like that should have no space for a clout chaser
A clout chaser who can stand and face the Police, face EFCC, call out corrupt politicians. Even call out a ruling president telling him to his face that he is a failure, is a "Clout Chaser" who doesn't chase Clout.

By the way, is there anyone as fearless and as bold as VDM in your family or linage history?
Just trying to get something straight.

The same regurgitated textbook perspective? I do doubt the intellectual capacity of you all agreeing with Falana, without understanding that many times, new perspectives about ideals and ideas can ne gotten from people who are not bounded to the boundary of "academic curriculum".

What's the thing in his talk that is a problem?

Just listen to his response to Falana's comments: "This is classism". When he clashed with Seun Kuti and Sowore,it was,"They are jealousy of me" .These are the words of a typical low-thinker.

VDM is more useful to the today's Nigeria more than Falana can ever be angry

VDM really took time to hit the nail on the head concerning every security challenges we're facing in the country and instead of the SAN to commend him on that for at least being bold enough to say what he and his fellow SANs couldn't say,in stead he's out to scold the young man.

If Femi Falana did all these which then means he is worth more than most SAN who are so by title only. Therefore, i take back my comments and apologise to him but he shouldn't have criticized NBA for inviting VDM to it's conference to come and showcase his uselessness to the larger society but usefulness to mundane things that excites olodo uprising who are plenty supporting Peter Obi.

Thanks for listing them as you did.

Being intellectually sound has to do with accepting tbe fact that you can be sound in your own field and respecting others to be technically sound in their own field

These Nigerian lawyers once they finish school always think they are the only ones that went through education… that arrogance is beyond ignorance

Lawyers ! No be only una go school, whoever taught you that you guys are the most intellectual people in the society really deceived you people

You are clouded with hate and jealousy

Go and watch VDM response and see a superior intellectual response

In case you don’t have data

Vdm responded and said..

1. The anger is boiling from classism … these are bunch of classist who think vdm is a nobody to be seated among them

2. Most important submission is that, the man VDM has contributed far more to security than even the security forces in this country.. maybe you are not in the country when VDM went to Jos, benue and maidguri before our security agents got there to raise awareness on the killings

Are you aware that it VDM that brought far more justice to the masses and the very poor that can’t afford lawyers ?

When people suffer injustice and the very first person they run to is VDM?

When people are looking for justice and everyone begins to tag VDM

So why shouldn’t he be in that panel?

Usually intellectuals or people posing as intellectuals take pictures or videos in their personal library surrounded by hard bound volumes. VDM chose to take a video with a rack of trainers in the background. That should tell your where his gray matter is focused.

The NBA has fallen to the olodo uprising

What the lawyers have failed to do, vdm is doing it for free. That's the society we have created.
