This is purely my opinion and mine alone. For the past three years ,it has been very difficult for most families in Nigeria. The effects of subsidy removal and floating of the naira has been a disaster. Most families can nolonger feed properly, high cost of transportation within the metropolis and inter states, high rentage etc. Most public servants who own cars can't afford to fuel their cars as they will spend all their salary money fueling their cars if they do so and these were people who could afford to buy their own cars then I saw this take from someone who copied it here attached. It is well.

Globally things are slow not only Nigeria. This December ia going to be hard considering the earthquakes, tsunamis and flooding across the globe. Those affected places either produce something or consume something. Global supply and demand chain, global money circulation will be affected |

People are seriously suffering. I know a widow with 3 children who is currently feeling the pain, anguish and sorrow of the bad policies of this evil govt on the economy. We have helped in ways possible but not respite in sight. Meanwhile there are millions of others nationwide. |

helinues:There will always be excuses for failure, earth quakes, tsunamis, and flooding didn't started in Tinubu's tenure. Even with the great global recession of 2009, or that of convid-19 in 2020, Nigerians still never had it this bad, coupled with the fact that those governments were still paying subsidy for both electricity and petrol, spent money in defending the naira unlike yours. Your lord and saviour is a weapon fashioned against Nigerians. |

Simple. Policies that increase extreme poverty rates and make it difficult for the middle class to survive cannot be good policies. But what irks me the most is that the so called leaders, families and cronies are not partaking in the hardship thier policies have caused. They have institutionally and corruptly insulated themselves. If Nigerians must endure hardship for this long, then the political office holders must be in the forefront of bearing the brunt of their own policies. The president should cut his feeding cost by 90%. Cut transportation cost by 70%. They should spend thier own salaries to augment thier feeding and transport. The president's family should not move with more than 1 government assigned security vehicle and not more than 2 security aides. Governors should not have more than a 3 car convoy. Ministers should use only one vehicle. Let the political office holders share in the challenges of their policies. They say that it is when the fly perches on the scrotum, that is when a violent man knows that there are gentler ways to resolve problems. |

This government doesn't have human feelings, imagine an aspiring gubernatorial candidate telling you to continue to stay with your parents and share accommodation. I saw a danfo driver lamenting few days ago that passengers don't come out, some even beg because they can't afford transport fares. Under Tinubu yams are being cut to sell, people can't buy a whole tuber. School fees is on the corner. ![]() |

helinues:It was never this bad. Nigerians have never had it this worst. You have to be at least half smart so you can come up with more mature excuses. Your government was voted in so that Nigerians could raise their heads above hunger, not make hunger and hardship sink them the more. They protested and cried when they bought petrol for #145 without subsidy, but they are currently buying same petrol for #1300+ even with a secret subsidy being paid. They don't even have the voice or strength to protest again, no thanks to your lord and saviour induced hunger and hardship promax. |

Skydiv:If I asked you if you and your family are going through the same hardship, your response will probably be No. Then my curiosity is, how come you can describe hardship like this without experiencing it |

Fuel subsidy is the only thing the common man is benefiting from this scam called Nigeria removal of subsidy just provided more money for only few thieves to loot |

| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by Skydiv: 1:14pm On Aug 29 |
helinues:And if i asked you, if you are experiencing the hardship and hunger you will say NO. But how come you are explaining and using earthquakes, tsunamis, flooding around the world as excuses for the reasons why there is hunger and hardship promax in the land? Does a medical doctor need to contract HIV for him to know how the HIV virus works? Even your senate president once advised Nigerians to help themselves anywhere they see free food because according to him these are hard times. Does it means Akpabio was experiencing hunger and hardship for him to have known and admitted that these are truly hard times? Common bro, you have to put in more effort to at least pretend smart and intelligent. |

Sounds like a reasonable observation – a bit of a chuckle to keep things interesting. |

Skydiv:Because I am a realist. I follow global news in order to prepare ahead. Have you seen me on this forum shouting hardship and hunger like you lots? Our progress in life is not tied to government policies |
| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by Skydiv: 2:26pm On Aug 29 |
helinues:Why will you shout hardship and hunger, when it has become a normal way of life? Only a smart and intelligent being will know that government policies can have a huge effects on our progress in life, and so far i must admit you haven't shown that you are one. |
| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by helinues: 3:42pm On Aug 29 |
Skydiv:We are saying the same thing. My progress in life is not tied to government policies unlike you that's affirming that your own progress in life depends on government policies |
| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by Skydiv: 4:01pm On Aug 29 |
helinues:We are not saying same thing, stop shifting the goal post, and stop sounding inconsistent. Initially you were attributing the cause of hunger and hardship in the country to earthquakes, tsunamis, and flooding happening around the world, not about personal progress, which i can boldly say you don't even know what that means. Peoples lives are being ruined daily due to bad government policies. The government you are supporting is a disaster, let's call a spade by it's name. For the fact that you support a political candidate doesn't mean you will swallow his poo and urine, and tell him God bless you sir, your poo is somehow delicious i must say. |
| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by helinues: 5:12pm On Aug 29 |
Skydiv:You are the one arguing blindly. Those who are supporting this government have a special market where they buy goods and services at discounted price |
| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by Skydiv: 5:18pm On Aug 29 |
helinues:Stop looking for lame excuses. The thread is about the hardship and hunger in the land which according to you was caused by earthquakes, tsunami, and flooding happening around the world as if those natural disasters started happening in May 2023. My point remains, those of you supporting this government and the government itself are weapons fashioned against this country. |
| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by helinues: 5:21pm On Aug 29 |
Skydiv:In short, you and your family have been badly affected with hunger and hardship because of this government policies. Is that what you are insinuating? |
| Re: Has The Life Of Nigerians Improved For The Past 3 Years Or Not by Skydiv: 7:05pm On Aug 29 |
helinues:Do you agree that the current level of hardship and hunger in the land has never been this bad? Even with the Great Recession of 2009, Nigerians had never had it this bad, no thanks to your lord and saviour True/False? As long as the government hasn't restricted access to the internet (I won't be surprised if they do), my family and I will never go hungry or blindly lick arse for a living. |
