I'm just curious, what's the down side to getting the mini?

well, the mini ain't "mini-ing" anymore as it currently cost more than the Standard on the Starlink website. But to your question i'd say 2things:

1: Mini has its router on the dish itself and can pose a little challenge if point of mount and area of access is spread apart and you do not have a spare router to disperse better wifi within your Space
2: Weather, not as strong as the standard when it's raining.

Good day everyone
Can anyone confirm if you can do regular subscription on the odu or it must be unlimited?

Only if the SIM has been provisioned for the ODU service.

What I mean is if I use a normal SIM with a normal subscription would it work on the odu? Do you know?

It will work 💯

MTN recently introduced a pre-registration platform for interested customers to complete and make payment before they can connect you to an outlet/agent with the FlyX device. I cannot verify if walk-in purchases are still allowed.

I bought one 2 days ago and still not browsing ,sent imei and number. Is there anyways to speed up the activation

This would be good to know. Kindly post your experience when y0u try it. So I am assuming the MTN ODU has a nano sim slot that one can just put a normal MTN sim with data subscription into, and there will be no speed restrictions, as long as the network coverage allows it.

is this evidence enough for you?

I bought it in Lagos and first images were the ones I was sent. I just received it this evening.

First thing,it doesn't come with data and MTN customer service doesn't know why. I called 300 and the call was transferred to 217(they actually called me back). The agent I spoke with said he doesn't have any idea if it actually comes with data. I subscribed to one week data to test it and I got 100% bonus.

So until then, take care

I just got mine (Mtn 5G ODU) and it didn’t come with the 100Mbps unlimited promised for a month, do i need to buy data to activate it?

call 300, ask them you want to speak with their enterprise department.
