Why did the Beninese protest after Nigeria government stopped paying fuel subsidy?
Because Benin is practically tied to Nigeria economically.

But Nigerians didn't stage a protest about that removal of fuel subsidy, why the Beninese?

First off, this is a senseless question, because Buhari and his APC could not police the borders

When Buhari closed the land borders, our neighbouring countries panicked and sent various delegations to plead with Nigeria citing trade liberalization, but surreptitiously because of smuggled fuel.
When Tinubu open the borders and remove fuel subsidies, their citizens still protested.
This indicates that our fuel subsidies transcend Nigeria’s territory.
