It appears the US is quitting the ME and now concentrating on Venezuela as it's major source of crude imports.

This is coming after the loss of confidence from Gulf Kingdom states of the US being their protector.

Saudi has now entered a military pact with Turkey and Pakistan and has extended an invitation to Iran to join.

The Saudis don't want the Americans back mainly because of how the US under Trump priotized defending Israel over the Gulf states who actually fund the US bases in the region.

The Saudis have also began trading their crude in Chinese Yuan and are also moving away from the SWIFT system seeing how Russian assets were seized.

The US knows also that there's no going back to normalizing relations with the Gulf states amidst the rulers now aligning more with their own population against America's presence in the region and the Abraham Accords
