Maybe to you, but calling every dick and Harry pastor is a disgrace to the body if Christ. Y'all will see supposed pastors doing and saying funny thing bringing shame to the body of christ. Tell me if they can try those stuffs in Islam and not get beheaded.

Lol... So christians running businesses should not receive payment for their goods and services? Even Christians who do 9-5 white collar jobs should also opt not to receive salaries?

Or perhaps this principle only applies to pastors?.. and how exactly should he feed his family?
The Bible says a laborer be rewarded of his wages. Is the matchmaking an aspect of his labor, if yes, he should be compensated but if it's more of his gift of his ministry, he would always get rewarded.

Are you saying that pastors that heal should cap it at a price because it's part of their labour?

For spiritual healing, God is the one healing, not the pastor. But the congregation in that case may reward the pastor with gifts if they feel led to do that.

But if a pastor is for instance a medical doctor, are we really saying he shouldn't be paid salaries because he's a pastor?

The 48 Laws of Power

The Laws of Human Nature and the
33 Strategies of War

For me, these are the greatest books ever written and sadly, all by one man

No man, dead or alive knows more about the human animal than Robert Greene
You’re right. Although every writer is unique in their own way. For instance we have other writers that write well and sound and even better than Greene. What Greene is good at to me is that he knows how to teach complex ideas that will make you glued to the book till the end. He is a good storyteller.

We still have some books by Greene o. The 50th Law (He co-wrote this with 50 Cent), Mastery, The Daily Laws which I think is his recent book like that.

Read Albert Camus work, Robert Cialdini, Nietzsche, Carl Jung, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Dale Carnegie, and some others to have a different perspective and equip yourself. You can’t be the same again when you finish reading all these writers works😅

One of the problems you people have is to jump into spiritual discussions when it is obvious that you are not mature to discuss spirituality or probably not led by the Holy Spirit...

Spiritual Christianity is not a popularity contest or seeking political correctness but complete obedience to biblical principles...

Apostle Paul writing on the requirements and attributes for being a pastor/shepherd in 1 Timothy 3, exhorted that a pastor should avoid love for filthy lucre and should be temperate, meek and shun controversies among other things.

A good shepherd should always remember that they are labourers in the Master's vineyard and therefore must exercise circumspection before taking decisions.

All these quests to amass wealth by whatever means and boast therewith that is common today majorly in the African Church is driven by the love for mammon and Jesus, I am sure, is not part of it.

In the final analysis, God cannot be mocked...

What exactly are you talking about, spirituality and what not?

What has spirituality got to do with a man doing a business and gettiing paid for his services?

So if a pastor opens a business like a shop, he should give out his goods to customers for free? Is that what your own spiritual discernment reveals to you?

You are unwittingly validating my point...

There is a difference between secular vocation and hiding under spirituality to fleece people...

If you want to do secular vocation, resign from ministry and go into it so that people will patronize you on the strength of secular skill and not capitalize on human vulnerability to exact charges on people.

If the person in question is not demanding payment under the cloak of a pastor, no-one will question his motives.

But what we are seeing here is an attempt to make merchandize from people's trust in the office of a minister.
If he were not a pastor, I daresay that 90 percent of his clientele would not even give him a look in...

If you go to hospital to be treated by a Christian doctor, he is not expected to render you medical services on the basis of his christian vocation but purely on professional terms.

Like I said before, it is not every issue you guys must dabble into as it is only those with spiritual enablement who can understand spiritual nuances. You dont argue on a matter that should be commonplace to even a nominal christian...

We are not talking about whose voice is the loudest here...

The bolded part of your message already speaks volumes on your Pharisaic nature... You sit behind a computer conversing with a person you do not know and have never seen, but somehow, something in your head tells you you're 'spiritual' and I'm not?

Mr Spiritual Enablement, the man didn't force you or anyone to subscribe to his app and neither did he make it mandatory for anyone, not even his church members. There are dating apps all over cyberspace, including Christian-based dating apps; you have a free choice to patronise or not patronise. If you want to keep hating on him and attacking him because he's a pastor, that's your spiritual cup of tea. But that will not change the fact about who he is and that also doesn't change the fact that just like every one of us, he reserves the right to set up a business and charge customers for his services.

I will not want to suffer you any further...

Like I said, your speech shows the profundity of your understanding and leading....There is no contention here as you are free to uphold whatever moves your boat.

There are such things called the fruits of the spirit and it is very easy to see when they are not reflecting...Seeing people physically before being able to deduce where they are coming is not how things work in practical scheme of things...

Prosperity practitioners and consumers will do everything to justify unwholesome practices, so there is indeed no contention here...

Okay sorry, pastor Kingsley is a fake pastor for daring to charge a subscription for his dating app.

Next topic please!

I cannot call him a fake pastor...I am saying that he ought to know better...

A key attribute of a good shepherd/pastor is temperance/restraint/circumspection...

Read Apostle Paul's treatise on the office of a pastor in 1 Timothy 3...

In a sense, it is not everything that is expedient that is lawful in the same measure...

We are all serving a Master and it is good Christian attitude to imagine what the Master could have done in any test situation...

We all desire a spirit-led body of Christ and correcting our faults in love was actually a solid biblical exhortation...
