The United States has carried out strikes against two Iranian launchers on Larak Island, according to a U.S. official.

The official said Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces had been observed preparing to launch rockets carrying sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian state media reported explosions on Larak Island, while the IRGC said the attack resulted in deaths and injuries among soldiers and civilians and vowed to respond.

They haven't been able to develop a long range intercontinental ballistic missiles that could hit US. If they had one, US wouldn't be striking them like this. The same challenge Ukraine is facing in their war with Russia. However, Ukraine has been able to develop powerful drones, with capacity to strike deep into Russia, but with minimal impact compared to damage a ballistic missiles would have done.
