“That's why I laughed when I heard that one joke said I was faking miracles. There's no need to fake miracles. Some of the miracles God has been performing in our midst, they're difficult to believe. I remember one when I was praying in my prayer room last night, God reminded me of one. A friend had c@ncer of the bræst. They took her to the hospital and cut off one that one bræst so that she wouldn't d!ẹ̀. This lady went to visit her friend in the hospital. It's sad to see her in that situation. And they took one anointed handkerchief that we had prayed over and laid it on the wound and prayed. Two weeks later, a new bræst had grown.” — Pastor E A Adeboye Copied

enemyofprogress:LMAO! The fabus are always hilarious. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 5:17pm On Aug 28 |
LordReed:I was in the Redemption City two years ago for the March special Programme. Pastor Adeboye said that God is touching eyes. I used to have a pair of glasses with two different lenses of different power. Since that day, my eyesight has been restored, no more glasses. Is that fabu? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 6:01pm On Aug 28 |
MightySparrow:How can we verify what you say is the real question. This so called testimony from Adeboye happened in a hospital but no doctors are reporting such an occurance? That woman would have been studied from here to the moon. Talking about studied, did you report this "miraculous" eyesight recovery to your ophthalmologist/optometrist for a check up? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by DeepSight(m): 6:21pm On Aug 28 |
enemyofprogress:Will you SHAT AP with this dirty lie? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 7:28pm On Aug 28 |
LordReed:I had an opthalmologist, a processor in University Teaching Hospital n the prestigious University of Ibadan. He carried out comprehensive test for me. I don't bother visiting him anymore since I have sharp eyesight. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 9:45pm On Aug 28 |
MightySparrow:And what did the professor say? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by paxonel(m): 1:56am On Aug 29*. Modified: 4:52am On Aug 29 |
Of what use are miracles in a country were many people are hungry? When will the miracle provide food for them first? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 1:59am On Aug 29 |
LordReed:I don't need the profesor anymore. O was the one that had problem, went to him, did his best. The problem is no longer there. Why bothering myself when I can now see clearly? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 2:41am On Aug 29 |
MightySparrow:I get that but what did the professor say about the "miraculous" recovery? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 5:17pm On Aug 29 |
LordReed:He too is a follower of Adeboye. He believe it. Besides, the doctor is not the one that had the problem and knew when the problem was no longer there. So I don't need a doctor to tell me that my head is no longer aching when I don't feel pain again. Bro. You have argument, I have the experience and the evidence. No matter how clever you are, you cannot remove my experience. ![]() |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 5:57pm On Aug 29 |
MightySparrow:No one is trying to remove your experience. We are trying to confirm your experience. So if we call this professor he will confirm that a patient of his who needed severe eyesight correction now no longer needs it? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 7:20pm On Aug 29 |
LordReed:Which confirmation again? the eyes were once good, went bad, become good again. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 7:22pm On Aug 29 |
MightySparrow:Ok so I should just believe you is what you want? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 4:22am On Aug 30 |
LordReed:You don't need to believe me. Your belief or lack of it doesn't change anything. It doesn't validate my experience or discredit or validate Adeboye's ministry either. Does the world run by your opinion? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 5:08am On Aug 30*. Modified: 5:24am On Aug 30 |
MightySparrow:You asked me if it was fabu, how am I supposed to know without verification? If my opinion was unnecessary then why did you ask for it? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by orisa37: 7:37am On Aug 30 |
EVERY SECOND. I AM A MIRACLE. E A ADEBOYE IS A MIRACLE. YEMI OSINBAJO IS A MIRACLE. TINUBU IS A MIRACLE. OBASANJO IS A MIRACLE. HAPPY SUNDAY TO U ALL. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 1:33pm On Aug 30 |
LordReed:Okay. Your opinion on any matter does not change it's veracity. You are a nobody in your own insignificant corner. This man you criticize has evidences all over almost 200 nations of the world. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 3:40pm On Aug 30 |
MightySparrow:He may have doesn't mean he always tells the truth. Even you, I doubt the veracity of what you say, your defensiveness is telling. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 10:11pm On Aug 30 |
LordReed:So you are the only one that debunk his lies? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 6:35am On Aug 31 |
MightySparrow:Nope. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 7:28am On Aug 31 |
LordReed:Who else? Out of myriads of people in all these nations over forty years, people have been given testimonies online and offline. None have ever claimed to be faked or scammed them. Your own opinion in one insignificant corner can now cancel, discredit a worldwide transversing races, clones, and times, well-known, decades - long testimonies? You are claiming to be more informed than all of us? Right? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 9:30am On Aug 31 |
MightySparrow:That you think I am the only one to call BS on Adeboye's so called testimonies is wild. Check any of the posts about him that have hit front page and come back to tell me I am the only one. Of course my view will have limited influence, I never claimed to be a widely known authority. Just look at our interaction as a microcosm of what we can expect if we try to dig into these so called testimonies. You can't even be honest when pressed a little bit but I am supposed to just believe it. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 12:21pm On Aug 31 |
LordReed:I understand your position. Miracles are the signature of the Christian God. They are manifested by whoever will dedicate himself to God. Mysteries also are the signature of the Christian God. These two are the bedrock of Christianity; explaining them away simply shows lack of the knowledge of God. Our God is limitless. Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: These two pillars of human knowledge are not consistent with the Christian God. Whatever Baba Adeboye is saying today still not different from Ayo Babalola, Baba Àkàndé Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Dorothy Strudels, Kenneth Hagin, Màríà Woodworth - Ether, Aimee Simpson, John Graham Lake, E. W. Kenyo, and many more. I live in Benin City now. People still talk about the unbelievable exploits of Archbishop Benson Idahosa - some eye witnesses. Something's crazier than you hear from Adeboye. Anyways, people still criticize the miracles of Moses and even the Lord Jesus. I was subscribed to Skeptics Association of Nigeria journals. We doubted everything and criticize everything. Our criticism has not changed anything. Not until I met a challenge that man cannot solve that I began to drop somethings I have treasured and turned to God. He has been extremely faithful. |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 12:46pm On Aug 31 |
MightySparrow:Yeah but when we question those "miracles" you become defensive and testy. Why does asking you to produce evidence become an issue? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MightySparrow: 12:53pm On Aug 31 |
LordReed:Okay, you have to see the growth breast to believe? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 1:53pm On Aug 31 |
MightySparrow:So all you need is to hear that a breast grew back to believe it? |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by MaxInDHouse(m): 4:01pm On Aug 31 |
enemyofprogress:The truth is false prophets are in many places but they focus on what is peculiar to their victims as baits. For instance pastors in Western nations won't tell their followers to come for some deception in the name of miracles because no one needs that over there what they need is assurance that they will not end up in hellfire that is if the individual is still in fear of such fairytales but here in Africa where there is hardship our people are told to bring the little they have so the pastor can use it to take care of his own family and few stipends he will use to hire actors for fake miracles. Even in Nigeria here if you go to the VGC you won't see banner of any church talking about poverty but go to Ajegunle, Okokomaiko, Abule ẹgba, Agege, Ayọbọ, Òjòdú and other slums you will see banners of breakthrough and so on. Miracles do happen for sure but God has never given anyone outside Israel the privilege to perform miracles before and after Jesus!🙂 |

LordReed:I believe as a believer. What about the biblical creation story? What about the parting of the Red Sea? What about the conception of Jesus? What about the resurrection? What about the accession? What about the resurrection I am waiting for? If I can believe those things, why won't I believe in the ones I am part of? In the 90s, a lady attended the monthly Holy Ghost service. During the time of testimony, she came out to say that her leg which shorter than the other grew to the same length. In her own words, 'when I get home this morning, my mother will not recognize me.' The same year if not the same night, the man of God announced that someone in the crowed had grown 2 inches taller. That the person would know by the length of his trousers that has become shorter. The man came out! Many things that have happened to me, my family, especially in the areas of healing. Many I have witnessed. I f I can't believe the ones I witnessed, how can I believe the Bible. It will be wasting of my time. 1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; |

MaxInDHouse:Another lie from unbelieving believer! ![]() ![]() |
| Re: Miracles Still Happen by LordReed(m): 7:00pm On Aug 31 |
MightySparrow:Yeah I guess it is clear that you are willing to believe without evidence while I am not. There is no evidence of creation, garden of Eden, global flood, tower of Babel, etc. yet you believe no wonder you can believe a breast grew back with no evidence. |

LordReed:As per the flood, the preponderance of flood myths across a wide spectrum of peoples all over the world highly suggests some sort of event in the far past which over time became mythologized. ----------- Near East & Levant The Epic of Gilgamesh (Mesopotamian): Enlil decides to destroy humanity with a deluge because humans are too noisy. The god Ea warns Utnapishtim, who builds a massive cube-like vessel to preserve animals and his family. Atrahasis & Eridu Genesis (Sumerian/Babylonian): Earlier Mesopotamian precursors to Gilgamesh featuring the hero Ziusudra (or Atrahasis), who survives a seven-day flood sent by the gods. Genesis Flood / Noah's Ark (Abrahamic): God sends a 40-day flood to cleanse human wickedness. Noah builds an ark, takes pairs of animals, and lands on Mount Ararat. Europe & Greco-Roman Deucalion and Pyrrha (Greek): Zeus releases a deluge to wipe out the corrupt Bronze Generation. Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha survive in a chest, landing on Mount Parnassus. They repopulate the Earth by throwing stones over their shoulders. Bergelmir (Norse): When Odin and his brothers slay the primeval giant Ymir, Ymir's blood creates a flood that drowns all frost giants except Bergelmir, who escapes on a hollowed-out tree trunk. Asia Matsya Avatar (Hindu): Lord Vishnu transforms into a giant horned fish (Matsya) to guide King Manu's boat across catastrophic waters, preserving the sacred Vedas and essential plant and animal species. Gun-Yu & The Great Flood (Chinese): Unlike destruction-focused myths, China's legend focuses on civil engineering. Emperor Yu the Great works for decades to build canals and dikes, successfully taming the yellow river's overflow. The Americas Unktehi Flood (Lakota / Native American): The water monster Unktehi floods the plains to destroy early humans. Unktehi's blood spills out, hardening into red pipestone, and a lone woman saved by an eagle restarts humanity. Five Suns / Fourth Sun (Aztec): The fourth world, Nahui Atl (Four Water), ends when the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue unleashes torrential rains that turn humans into fish. A couple named Tata and Nene survive inside a hollowed tree trunk. Viracocha’s Unu Pachakuti (Inca): The creator god Viracocha sends a deluge (Unu Pachakuti) to destroy a race of giants he created around Lake Titicaca, later fashioning new humans out of clay. Oceania & Africa Nuu (Hawaiian): Nuu constructs a vessel (waʻa) with a house on top to escape a world-ending ocean surge sent by the gods, landing atop Mauna Kea. Kwayiva / Yoruba & Mande traditions (West African): Several regional traditions describe ancestral floods sent by ocean or sky deities (such as Olokun or supreme creator spirits) to reset human misbehaviour, forcing communities to seek refuge on mountain tops. |
