You can write whatever you like about Labour.

It would never change the fact that oil is priced at international rate such that even countries as wealthy as US are experiencing the highest surge in the cost of fuel.

Do with this information as you please.

Isn't this as a result of the US war on Iran? Diesel has been deregulated for a long time now. The problem is the lack of proper public transport system, bad roads and lack of electricity.

Price of oil in the international market has gone up in tbe pasf week.

Oil is an international commodity and it's byproducts would reflect that change in the price of oil.

Stop comparing your measly 1.4 million barrels of oil as significant.

Do you guys just love lying to yourselves?

And somehow, manufacturers are supposed to navigate this, pay salaries , pay taxes and then expand to employ workers who just graduated with students loans.

This government will want to come off as investors friendly government but every policy decision is built around killing the economy

There's no such thing as international rate. Russia does not sell its oil same price with US. The price you're calling international rate is the US price adopted by other Western countries. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery

Firstly, always address our president as His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR)

Back to your complains, you have to know we cannot subsidize again. It’s not economical for our great country.

We almost 250 million with scarce resources. We have to put that resource in infrastructure, security, power generation and transmission, and human resource.

We are on course! I can promise you we bound for greatness!

Our own generation we be remembered for the sacrifices we made.

Hahaha, economic reality in a country affects everything else. Inflation is high, so cost of everything else will be high.
Let me tell u something, ur man got it all wrong. In a country like Nigeria, u dont introduce all these policies at once, especially when u have not define a way to tackle corruption and wastage. This is where he failed and pushed more people into poverty and struggling line.
Only him, removed fuel subsidy, removed cut down on subsidy for electricity, float naira, increased tax base and captured online workers.
Now, all of these plus heavy insecurity which have affected farmlands, cost of everything went to the moon and each person pushing these costs to the end users. Na the problem be that.
He could have done these things one step at a time, do one, watch as it goes, do another, etc.
And most importantly, handle and tackle corruption.
Up to this moment, budget paddling is still happen, paddy paddy govt is still happening, wastage is still happening, inflated price of public projects, still happen, award of contracts without following due process just to give to ur paddy paddy still happening,
budgeting 15billion for SUV is a waste, spending 1.5billion on mass wedding is a waste.
So, who will bear the economic shock of all these? The masses. That is what is happening now. U didnt fix security, u dey remove fuel subsidy, completely, u dey float naira and u dey widen tax coverage and increased sef. Hahahaha, Nigerians will be poorer by end of 2027. Infact, middle class would be wiped out already.
This is not to invalidate the salient points you've raised here, but your argument is largely unnecessary on this issue.

That fellow is sadly correct. The current surge in diesel prices has more to do with the ongoing geopolitical storms between Iran/America and Ukraine/Russia, and very less to do with Tinubu's wayward government.

Aptly said!!!

All these reforms are like giving a sick patient so many doses of injections and pills they ought to take on a 3day period at once, what would happen? The person fit kpai.

First thing this idiot did was to adjust to inflation, the pay of the political class before even increasing minimum wage that is a bad omen!!!!

Oga.
Government should not fold its arms and watch cost of energy spiral out of control.
It will wreck the economy. It will shut down businesses and it will destabilize and endanger the government itself.

It will make the country unattractive to investment particularly in a country where diesel is the go to energy source for alternative power, where diesel is the go to energy source for haulage in the absence of rail transport.

Governments round the world do everything possible to ensure energy security. They even go to war because of that.

I don't understand how the citizens of this country will want to absolve to government of that basic responsibility. If they are not concerned then what is the function of government. What is government for.
