Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma Asks EFCC To Reopen Atiku Case by WorkTheTalk(op): 5:49pm On Sep 05
A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to reopen and prosecute alleged financial crimes involving former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Through his lawyer, Hannibal Uwaifo (SAN), Agbonayinma gave the anti-graft agency 14 days to act on the request or face possible legal action. The petition, dated August 27 and received by the EFCC on September 1, references an EFCC investigation conducted between 2005 and 2006 during Atiku's tenure as Vice President.

According to the petition, a September 2006 EFCC report allegedly contained findings relating to corruption, money laundering, and other financial crimes. The former lawmaker also cited a 2010 report by a United States Senate subcommittee, which he claims raised similar allegations. He is urging the EFCC to reactivate both reports and consider them as the basis for renewed investigation and possible prosecution.

Agbonayinma argued that revisiting the matter would demonstrate the EFCC's commitment to fighting corruption without regard to political status. His lawyers warned that if the commission fails to respond within the stipulated 14-day period, legal proceedings may be initiated against the agency.

It is important to note that these remain allegations, and no court has established criminal liability against Atiku Abubakar in relation to the claims referenced in the petition.

We have made it clear to members of the #Trump Administration and Congress that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@OfficialABAT) is actively working to rig the upcoming Nigerian presidential election. From @inecnigeria’s attempt to purge opposition party candidates to using the Nigerian judiciary to intimidate them, the evidence is undisputed.

The latest attempt by President Tinubu and his associates is to use Nigerian law enforcement (@officialEFCC) to eliminate political opponents. An individual connected to President Tinubu’s @OfficialAPCNg has given the EFCC the extraordinary ultimatum of 14 days to arrest opposing presidential candidate @atiku Abubakar.

The @StateDept is monitoring the Nigerian election process. Nevertheless, we plan to brief them and Congress on this latest attempt by #Tinubu to use the EFCC to rig the election. It is in the interests of the U.S. for Nigeria to undergo a free and fair election, and all persons and organizations seeking to disrupt the process should be held accountable.

Isn't it amazing how they have not seen any criminal case to use to blackmail HE Peter Obi?

Since Atiku has decided to drag Pablo for FBI matters, Pablo goons wan also push for Atiku's past to also haunt his ratings.

I mean, how hard is it to see what could make a difference in this hehllhole we call home.

Cry well well. The other time you called on Trump to come and abduct Tinubu as the mad idiot did to Venezuelan President, Trump sent his boys to come and give Tinubu money in the form of military cooperation, we are still using the money to do Owambe parties every weekend in Lagos.

Now it’s time to put Atiku on sleepless night and increase his blood pressure

What exactly is wrong with reopening a 2005 case? Atiku paid Ikemefuna Okeke to help him get documents about a 1993 case that was dismissed by a court and you all saw nothing wrong in that. So, why should a 2005 case not be reopened?

Unlike Tinubu, Atiku will not lobby anyone for his files to not be opened. Only the guilty are afraid and Atiku has had this challenge open to anyone for over 10 years and counting. He just reiterated it yesterday. We challenge Tinubu to say the same over his FBI Chicago files.

5 mind-boggling revelations from Obasanjo’s ‘My Watch’

5. Tinubu was one of the most corrupt, of the 36 governors

Obasanjo never got along too well with former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu, and unsurprisingly, Tinubu got a mention in the former’s book.
Obasanjo revealed that then EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu tried to investigate almost all the state governors during his tenure but that of the 28 confirmed to be manifestly corrupt or tainted one way or the other, Tinubu’s case was one of the worst.

19 FEBRUARY 2007

Daily Champion (Lagos)

Lagos — ABIA State governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and his Lagos State counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not escape justice but would be made to face the full wrath of the law following their recent indictment for alleged corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Chairman of the commission Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who made the vow yesterday said the duo must account for their stewardship and may be thrown out of office.

He sold national assets to a whopping $600m which in today calculation could be around $600billion and he ran away with it to Dubai and started buying skylines in Dubai, Atiku wallahi you go vomit the money by force by fire.

He was the chair to committe that looted a whopping $16billion electrification fund that soiled his relationship with obj. The next he did was to become Mikano Generator importer the largest in entire Africa till date, Atiku you go vomit the billions.

$100,000 US bribery case that involved one of his wife nick named(Jennifer) that led to banning him from the US we will bring the case back up and I can assure him he atiku and Von Batten go enter jail together this time.

EFCC pls go ahead and reopen the case. While at it, remember there was a case of two bullion vans that entered a certain house in IKOYI on the eve of election, pls kindly also reopen that case.

Also EFCC we will like to see the investigations conducted by Nuhu Ribadu and Bawa when they were EFCC chairmen on Lagos state governors.

EFCC, pls also remember a certain Ganduje was caught on camera stuffing dollars in his babariga, pls kindly reopen that case too. There is also a case against a certain Akpabio, pls reopen it. In Rivers also a certain accountant general was declared wanted before he became governor, pls kindly reopen full investigation on that and take it up with the principal.

While at it, a certain Beta Edu was suspended few months into this administration on corruption allegations, pls help us with the full details of that investigation.

He has been looking for food since Buhari's era.

Let's see if Kurubu will remember him.

Any case can be reopened as long as it is a criminal case, even after 40 years, as long as it is a criminal case and not a civil dispute .
That is what the law says .

Meanwhile, a senator was recently exposed for sponsoring banditry, yet no one is pressuring the president to take action on that.

What a shame.

If Obj couldn't pin Atiku even when effc was at the peak of its powers under the old Ribadu, how much more now that it operates worse than a local vigilante that is only interested in arresting randy men perceived to be eyeing the kings daughter?
