Coincidentally I'm using the Genus Hi-Flo 4.2kVA 24V paired with a 3kwh luxwatt battery, the fan is always on but not to the extent it could disturb my sleep, where it's mounted isn't up to 10 feet away from the wall it shares with the room I sleep once in a while. The only time the fan becomes very noisy is when the sun's intensity increases suddenly (not all the time) and also when I decide to do a quick off-grid ironing (pressing iron is about 2000w).
The noise isn't even my concern anyways but my total setup's output - the highest PV reading I've ever seen is 1.1kw even during peak sun hours. I use three 685w bifacial Runergy panels mounted on the roof.
My questions are:
1. Is this output good enough even though I hardly overwork the system, highest load percentage is 7% when my fridge is on?
2. Will there be any difference if the panels are mounted on a carport since they are bifacial?
Check your inverter manual and check what your max amp is set to on your inverter. It is most probably at default 50-60a, Increase it to 100 or what your battery specify and observe.

What was the battery charged level before the sun come up?

Good morning house, there is this issue I am having with a client's Sako 4.2kva inverter.

This inverter was bought on Saturday 23 May 2026, it was installed for the customer on Monday 25 May 2026. The second day Tuesday, I was called in the afternoon that the inverter suddenly went dead.

My connection was 4 jinko 620w panels connected in series. I went to pick it up from the customer and returned to the seller for fixing. According to him, he sent it to Sako service center in Alaba.

I had to install a stop gap of welion 4.2kva inverter so the man won't feel offended while this issue is being resolved. The welion has been working fine with no issues so far.

After a month, I was called to come pick it up only for me to realise I was sent another person's inverter, The one I brought is still new because it was used for just one day. I returned it to the seller that this is not mine.

After like 3 weeks mine was returned looking so rough, with scratches all over it, I was not happy seeing it (brand new inverter for that matter).

I took it home, decided to test it in my shop before taking it to the customer only to detect it wasn't charging the battery. I had to return it with note "mppt not charging properly" so that the engineers will know what to work on.

After like 6 weeks and several calls, this inverter was returned, I decided to test it in my shop again. I intend to test it for 2 weeks, then decide whether I should continue using it myself and leaving the stop gap for the customer because the Sako was already looking so rough with many scratches, the client won't like it.

After three days of usage, I came to shop one morning around 11am only for me to meet this inverter dead again. My battery already entered protection mode "faild to release scp". This inverter would have also killed the battery if not for good bms.

I have returned it again.
They claimed maybe it is my connection, I told them no, because the two places this inverter has developed fault so far (client's house and my shop) have Inverters of the same specs working there with no issues.
They have taken it to the service center again.

My fear now is what is the assurance that after repairs, this issue still won't come up?

Does sako replace Inverters for customers? If yes, how can I go about it?
What model is the inverter?

Also for replacement, you might have to pay some money.

1yr warranty doesn't mean you wouldn't pay service charges lipsrsealed

A new solar system was installed for me. It was 4 panels of 590 watts each, Africell. Then a 220 Ah tubular battery, then a 2000 watts D&G hybrid inverter. It has been working perfectly well. Four ceiling fans, a plat screen tv, a 270 watts freezer, about 20 power saver light points, a blender and few other things al working at the same time during the day.
My question, as a newbie, is: can I use my 1000 watts electric cooker on it during the shining hours of the day? Assuming I put off all other loads?
Thanks

Sako actually replaced a unit after two failed repair attempts. I didn't even ask for a replacement; they just sent a brand-new one.

No, it’s not advisable.

Good morning all, I have the following items for sale. They are my present set up but I want to upgrade to 24v system. They are listed as follows :

1, Sako hybrid inverter 12v 2kva/1.6kw

2, Deriy lifepo4 battery 12v 280ah

3, Cworth energy lifepo4 battery 12v 100ah

If you are interested, kindly indicate here or send a mail to benisoken@gmail.com . Thank you.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by saxwizard(m): 6:51am On Sep 06
Not advisable, if you had a 24V System it would have been better

However, tubular battery doesn't do well under loads like that. You would be pushing the battery to death faster that way.

Hello house, pls is it advisable to use 620W panel for itel power tank 500W/1kva.
Someone said it charges the power tank faster, and it keeps your basic electronics like tv, router and rechargeable fan running during the day while the power tank stays fully charged.

itel power tank max pv is 400w if I’m not mistaken, but over paneling is allowed..
During this rainy season the 620w will help charge faster than 400w but during peak sun your power tank will only draw 400w irrespective of the power of the panel, i.e the the tank will clip the panel power to 400 which is its max pv array…

Can you suggest a brand of 620W panel that works well with the power tank?

This is the issue with some sellers.
They could have just replaced the inverter with a new one instead of tossing you about. I would have asked you to drop the name of the seller for the sake reference.
It's a shop here in Ibadan, though I won't blame the seller because if replacement is to occur, it should be from Sako.

That's what I expect from them, they keep repairing without looking at the cause.

Can I use this board with a 24v battery system since at full charge it gets to around 29v hope it won't damage the board?
the board shows 26 volta clearly. Why are you overdoing DiY?

How much for the inverter

The first image is 630w znshine bifacial panel, while the second is 590w jinko bifacial,

Can these two panels be connected together?

Znshine is 2

While jinko is 4

Yes you can

But by their logic. The lower panel will pull down the higher panel to their level

Although the difference is wattage is not very much.
The 630 will only perform at the 590 level

You can try it and see for yourself.

If you are dealing with parallel connection i would suggest you do

2 jinko 1 zshine in series
Then you can parallel the 2 output

That way you can have the same voltage at the output for your parallel connection.
