fergie001:It is the aftermath of the Civil War that made the North lose interest in the SE presidency for now. SW and SS iare trusted by the North not the SE . SW and SS handed over powers to the North in the past. The North believes SE presidency is a promotion of secession of the SE from Nigeria. To them on the North, the "Civil War " is not over |

You are totally wrong in your 1st paragraph. 1. English speaking parts of Cameroon were never under Nigeria and were never under Lord Lugard amalgamation of Southern and Northern colonies in 1914. 2. English speaking parts of Cameroon were spoils of war collected by the British after the defeat of Germany in WW1. Cameroon aka Kamerun was ab initio a German colony. After the defeat of Germany in WW1, Cameroon was split between Britain and France as a mandated trust territory. 3. The English speaking parts of Cameroon were subdivided into 2:- British Northern Cameroon and British Southern Cameroon all administered as a league of nations trust territories and later as a UN trust territory. 4. While British Southern Cameroon decided to rejoin their brothers in French speaking Cameroon, British Northern Cameroon decided to join their brothers in English speaking Nigeria in a UN sponsored vote. 5. British Northern Cameroon joined Nigeria and became Gongola state - Borno, Taraba and Adamawa states and a part of Benue state today. 6. That is why you have an Adamawa state in Nigeria and an Adamawa state in Cameroon till today, the River Benue - a very important river in Northern Nigeria and Cameroon, Ahmed Musa donating millions towards the completion of the Grand mosque in Garoua during 2021 AFCON in Cameroon and Emir Sanusi of Kano invited to inaugurate that same mosque. Even the NCNC - National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons of Zik and Macaulay showed the distinction between both territories. Honorable mentions - Modibo Adama the founder of Adamawa who brought Islam from Nigeria through Jihad to Cameroon with blessings from Uthman Dan Fodio. - Atiku Abubakar former Nigerian VP who was born then in Cameroon but his birthplace is now in Nigeria. - The porous borders up North, smuggling and exchange of goods happening up North between brothers with long time cultural, linguistic and religious links separated by imaginary lines drawn by Germany, France, Britain, Cameroon and Nigeria. saintkel:If u use your yansh talk finish... I do not care if cherries or pears combo rule Nigeria... All I want is effective leadership and it is not determined by the religion you practice.... Look around you.... Is emefiele a Muslim ![]() Is Evans the kidnapper a Muslim ![]() My point is... Nobody should make an attempt to divide Nigeria with the religious nonsense.... We are one nation and only effective people should rule the nation... They can Muslims, Christians or traditional worshippers or even Hindu, I do not bloody care.... I've see what religious wars did to Nigeria and I do not want that...... Campaign if you must but do not attempt to divide Nigerians by making them believe that an all Muslim admiration means the world wants to end..... I am a Christian and I do not see Muslims as my enemies.... Nigerians have one common enemy and that's bad governments..... There are evil Muslims as well as Christians.... There is evil in every religion so we should judge people by the content of their character and not their religion or traditions |

saintkel:Again, the truth doesn't appeal to you in any way and I'm not responsible for that... My own is that, statements like.... Daddy this is a religious war doesn't sound like someone who is trying to unite Nigeria as one given that Muslims and Christians are evenly distributed across the country....... |

Watianoengineer:Tinubu himself said he doesn't believe in one Nigeria. How then did he become the president of the country he doesn't believe in nor unit in? |

Dennisochampa:statement like that is far better than an association that makes Christians look way inferior for me especially in d north...u may not see through my lenses cos to u it is always about Obis bin out in d bad light ...ur messiah sidelined Christians in d north by picking a Muslim...to u it is nothing, using competence or political calculations to justify Tinubus choice but Obis word is far more dangerous than a man who has put it into practice....shame on ur type of Christianity then |

saintkel:Again, I am not calling tinubu a saint and this post is about obi incase you misread.... The post said obi wants to unite Nigeria and that's what I responded to by giving my opinion and what I think about it and why I think he's doing the direct opposite of what be says..... If the post was about obi and tinubu, then your argument would have been valid... But since it's about obi alone.... Let me know when you're ready to be truthful... That's if you're ever capable of telling yourself the truth... Let alone others |
