In 2027, never vote for Peter Obi because his government will be run by IPOB, and those guys will unleash terror on you.

This is directed at some Yoruba people who think they are being “liberal.” Please, don’t repeat the mistake we made in the last election. The narratives that were sold to us during the last election were blown open immediately afterwards, and we began to see what I believe were their real motives and intentions.

I am not exaggerating things here. Look at the behaviour of some people around you—the greed and the spirit of “winner takes all” are evident in some workplaces and business environments. In my own field, we have had reasons to be extremely cautious in our dealings.

You saw what happened in Alimosho Local Government. An Igbo man who was given a House of Representatives ticket to represent the constituency reportedly gave out 25 scholarships to people in the constituency to study abroad. Guess what? Twenty-one of them were reportedly of Igbo origin, while only four were Yoruba. In Yorubaland? To me, this raises serious questions about representation, fairness, and the interests being prioritised.

They will spend a fortune to ensure that a street is named after them. This is partly because of the few Yoruba men in positions of authority who, in my opinion, have sold their birthright for a plate of porridge.

You all know that, apart from being a public critic and political analyst, I am a professional land and property surveyor.

Something happened recently. A Yoruba man bought a very sizeable piece of land in one of the expensive estates here in Lagos and decided to turn it into a private estate, naming it after his late mother. Before we could say “Jack Robinson,” an Igbo guy who had acquired two plots of land quickly approached the local government to have the crescent named after himself. We woke up one day and saw a signpost bearing his name.

And then there is social media.

They are everywhere—what I would describe as “social media bandits and character assassins.” Once you do not support Peter Obi, they will abuse you, insult you, and even attack your family and your generation. They constantly try to force the Peter Obi narrative on everyone, as though Nigerians are not entitled to their own opinions.

What is even more disturbing is that some of them appear so blinded by their political loyalty that they cannot acknowledge anything positive happening under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tinubu does not have a magic wand. You cannot expect him to transform the Nigerian economy overnight. Turning around an economy as complex as Nigeria’s takes time, difficult decisions, consistent policies and sustained implementation.

Whether you support Tinubu or not, there are policies and infrastructural projects across the country that deserve to be acknowledged and properly assessed. The important thing is to give these policies time to produce results while continuing to hold the government accountable.

For me, 2027 is not about emotions, ethnic sentiments, social-media propaganda or insults. It is about competence, continuity, stability, national interest and the direction in which Nigeria is moving.

We must be careful not to repeat the mistakes of 2023 though Peter Obi came a distance third position in the election, to me Nigerians are too generous to have given Peter Obi such votes.

If you like insult me and abuse the hell out of me like Asiwaju once said ., I don't care until one of you wakes up one day and tell you people to stop the nonsense else no Igbo man will rule this country.

We know the tone of desperation and the face of betrayal.

Yes the man could be very correct just as the Tinubu government is being run by OPC, AGBEROS, and other misfits.
I believe we're reasoning the same way!

I have tried, in good faith, to examine the possibility of Peter Obi becoming Nigeria’s president from an entirely unbiased perspective, yet I can find no credible path leading there. I have even entertained the possibility hypothetically, and the result remains the same. Politically, the probability appears to be measured in nano units, so infinitesimal that it borders on practical impossibility.

Only within the peculiar echo chamber of social media could one mistake manufactured applause for a national mandate and imagine the packaged fraud sweeping up 99.87% of Nigerian votes. The internet can manufacture an illusion of inevitability, unfortunately, it cannot manufacture voters.

Sebi the narration is now heading towards the op's epistle now, may be those Obidients can now receive some sense.

They do because of Tinubu and be attacking the whole Yoruba when it's not that you have monopoly of doing that

Another has been selected.

Those Obi supporters refused to have any meaningful conversation with others apart from disrespecting them.

Why won't there be a post like this.

Obi doesn't have paths to victory, however this kind of campaign is dangerous and shouldn't be coming from us, the President's supporters, rather it should be left for the oppositions. It will be misconstrued, not that it will change anything, but it can affect the acceptance of Asiwaju among Igbo voters who intend to vote him.

As for me IPOB is a necessary organisation, more Igbos should sign for it. If I were Igbo, I'd be a non violent member, because if Yoruba pass through what Igbos are going through in the political landscape of Nigeria, at 70% of the Yoruba men on Nairaland will be members and supporters of IPOB.

What's this one saying?

If all candidates goes tribal you will lose woefully.

Obi have very huge masses supporting him in SS and NC.

Majority of Christians in NE and NW prefer Obi over Tinubu.

No region or tribe masses like Tinubu apart from politicians and some people in SW.

We all know that your master's plan is to write results @ the collation centre but Nigerians will surprise him this time.

Cry over election? grin Am not a politician.

Whether Tinubu retain power or not am still gallant. But if he should retain the power that must not be through result manipulation.

Nigerians will not allow him write and manipulate results as he like in 2027. Take note of that.

He can do all his result manipulation in SW states but should avoid other regions. Let's see how only SW can give him victory.

You know I have been questioning if the Obidients are from this earth not to talk of Nigeria as you people are not even aware of the reality.

You are talking about South South voting for Obi, is it the same South South the Obidients have been busy attacking both Edo state governor and their Oba? How about Delta state governor, Wike, Akpabio, oh I forgot they only have one vote each.

How about NC, Father Alia from Benue state who knew nothing about those who stopped Peter Obi has been on receiving ends of countless attack from the Obidients. I have been been seeing taunting threads questioning why a referend father is creating office of the first lady.

How about in NW, Southern Kaduna precisely, there is a lady who campaigned for Obi in 2023 but recently crossed to Apc, not only the lady has been receiving attack, it's the whole Southern Kaduna people.

The Christians in North irrespective of the region have been having more peace under this government than previous governments, why would they vote for Obi that didn't do anything for their protection apart from using them for sympathy votes?

It will be pure delusional to be expecting votes from those the Obidients have been disrespecting since after the 2023 election

You're funny.

Even if some SE and Edo youths fight online, that's doesn't concern Peter Obi.

Those Edo youths are still the ones campaigning for Obi online.

You don't understand the point here, Tinubu is not an option for Edo people.

Last month that Obi visited Edo state, we all saw the crowd tht welcomed him.

Edo remain Obedient HQ.

You can still visit Edo to interview the residents if you think they now dislike Obi and like Tinubu grin angry

On what bases should South South ever support Tinubu over Obi? Is it that his government is performing well or by religion similarity ?

@OP.

You are 100% correct. I want every objective Nairalander to view the thread below. Yoruba elders complained of marginalisation to Goodluck Jonathan while he was President.

Check out the horrible responses of those people because they felt they owned the Presidency of GEJ and could use it vengefully against Yorubas.

Meanwhile Stella Oduah, as Minister under GEJ, was busy sacking Yorubas in her Monistery and replacing them with Igbos.

There is no Yoruba more self-destructive than the 'woke' variety who go around ignorant of how others hate and envy them plus wish to take over their land and assets.

Re: Yoruba: Don't Vote For Obi , His Government Will Be Run by IPOB. Be Warned by Dalohad:
Even Tinubu will vote for Peter Obi on that days, because Nigerians have proven beyond reasonable doubts that Tinubu is a forger and drug pusher that lied about his primary and secondary education..

Every 4 years, he changes the name of the school he claimed to have attended.

He has no credible certificate to present to Nigerians.

Nigerians will not reward a fraudulent druggie with a chequered past.

You cannot build a presidency on ZERO INTEGRITY.

It's not an understatement that the Obidients are far away from the reality.

So you want to tell me all the people in those places are not even reading or watching how Peter Obi has been unable to describe the position he has been aspiring for not to talk of providing any sensible solutions to what he has been condemning this government for

The same Obi, a former governor of a state in Nigeria who can't reference to his achievements as campaign points is what you think Nigerians will vote for in 2027 election.

Hahaha, walahi, the popularity Peter Obi gained before the last election already faded away as both Obidients and Peter Obi scattered things for themselves.

Who cares or take Nairaland serious? Here is just for fun.

That's how you guys supporting APC are only brave on faceless forum but when you're invited on T.V/Zoom you sound incoherent with emotions just like lere olayinka . grin

If we go on live argument now you switch to insults without dropping accurate points.

Which Tinubu boy has ever been able to defend Tinubu on live/zoom argument?
