But to claim that you are still repaying Obi's debts in addition to that of his successor is a stupid lie taken too far. 1. Soludo has not been borrowing because subsidy removal has increased allocations to the state.By the time salaries need to be increased, he is going to borrow...and the time for salary increases is very very close. 2. Also, the reason why previous governors were borrowing was because the rising cost of subsidy on fuel, plus the low oil prices for most of the period since they were in power, and the fear of taxing the majority of the working class that is not paying income tax because 'they work in the informal sector', reduced income flow to the state under those administrations, which means state does not have enough money, and as such has to borrow. 3. Even then, the borrowing is not enough to meet the state needs. That's why many of your states are not functioning well...they just do not have the money 4. The looting and stealing at all levels makes things worse. If you read this as an excuse of any government, you are missing the point. 25 Likes |
