Good one keeping us updated about the local leagues.....the NPFL needs to do better than this tho..... countries like Egypt,SA,Morocco,Algeria and Tunisia are far ahead of the so called giant or Africa. . |

ENYIMBA FC & KANO PILLARS: THE BOARD, COACHES AND PLAYERS NEED TO WAKE UP! Let’s be brutally honest about what we are seeing from these two big names in Nigerian football. ENYIMBA FC Two games. Two defeats. Zero points. For a club of Enyimba’s stature, this is embarrassing. The problem is bigger than one bad match. There are serious questions for the board, technical crew and players. To the board: What is the recruitment strategy? What exactly was the plan for this season? Enyimba cannot continue operating like a club that is simply hoping things will somehow work out. To the coaching crew: Where is the tactical identity? Where is the response when things aren't going well? A team can lose, but when the performances lack confidence, creativity and control, the technical bench must answer questions. To the players: Wearing the Enyimba shirt is not a privilege without responsibility. You need to fight for that badge. Fans can forgive defeat; what they won't forgive is a lack of hunger and commitment. And losing 2–0 to Kano Pillars after already losing to Niger Tornadoes means this is no longer something supporters should simply brush aside. Enyimba are currently bottom of the table with two defeats from two games. KANO PILLARS Now, Kano Pillars deserve credit for beating Enyimba, but let's not get carried away. The team has started unbeaten — a 2–2 draw against Kwara United followed by a 3–2 victory over Niger Tornadoes — but conceding four goals in two games also tells us that there are defensive issues that the coaching crew needs to address. To the Pillars board: Don't wait until the team starts struggling before you strengthen the areas that need strengthening. To the coaches: The attack is producing goals, but the defence is giving opponents too many opportunities. You cannot seriously challenge for honours if every match becomes a shootout. To the players: Good start, but consistency is what separates a serious team from a team that simply starts well. The season is still young. Nobody should be talking about panic or relegation after two matches. But this is exactly the time to ask difficult questions. Enyimba need a serious wake-up call. Kano Pillars need to build on their promising start without becoming complacent. The board must provide the right structure. The coaches must provide the tactics. The players must provide the commitment. Because in football, big names don't win matches — good preparation, good coaching and hungry players do. |

Mattswaggz:This is why the clubs from these countries dominate the game on the continent, because they have strong leagues. Do you know how our own league will be better if we don’t give attention to the league and our own HOME teams? |
| Re: NPFL Discussion Thread by Rollybee: 6:25pm On Sep 14 |
We will definitely get there one day |
| Re: NPFL Discussion Thread by Pootle: 6:26pm On Sep 14 |
the lagos derby was cool, i expected more people in the stands but the game was good though i prefer ikorodu united over both of them, both clubs need to do more PR to attract fans interest |

BewareOf419:Why are you sharing 419 statistics about OUR league games, despite your own moniker? How is 88% the same thing as 99%? What is the percentage of away wins in each European league? You should not pass on your wrong impression to anyone as fact.
