The APC Governors forum unanimously resolved that its members will not participate in, support, or endorse any alliance or political arrangement capable of undermining the re-election of Mr. President, weakening the APC, or adversely affecting any candidate of the party at all levels. No arrangement that creates confusion, divided loyalty, or competing interests within the party will be entertained.

In other words, the Forum has no intention to support any candidate at all levels that is not an APC candidate, because the candidate is standing in the election as being sponsored by our Party.
Hope Uzodinma
Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum

Wike in an interview weeks ago, reiterated a frosty relationship between the APC Govs Chair (Uzodinma) and the Governors Forum Chairman (Abdulrazaq). over the Rainbow Coalition.

Rainbow coalition is an attempt to hijack campaign platform from the leadership of APC.

The same man who single handedly destroyed PDP is moving to destroy APC just like he has destroyed loyalty.

He has no respect for all those who brought him up...the Odili's,the Jonathan's,the Ameachi's just to name but few.

Wike is a cancer at stage 2 and if he continues this way,I pity the APC. Although the APC is going down in this coming election,he shall go down with them.

The fear of a certain Nyesom Wike.
They have come to the realization that Wike’s rainbow coalition may cost them their seats.
The person they should be addressing this to is tinubu who sees nothing wrong with everything wike does.

The gloves are finally off. 2027 will be a battle between the APC governors versus the Wike camp. There are unconfirmed rumours that Hope Uzodinma has been dropped from the Presidential Campaign Council. I see the hand of Wike all over this. The truth is, Wike wanted to be appointed DG of the Campaign Council but was schemed out. The vindictive Wike will not rest until he gets his pound of flesh. Even if it means sabotaging the APC in several states just to prove that the governors can't deliver. The governors have also not forgiven Wike for the embarrassment in Osun, and many of them are silently aggrieved with Tinubu for throwing them under the bus almost immediately.

The fear of Wike is the beginning of wisdom.🤓

One thing that is certain about life is that what goes around, comes around.

You see that thing that APC supported just because it favoured them, it will soon be APC’s turn.

If you look around, you will realize that they have handed Wike so much structure, the entire PDP for example, that if he decides to go rogue against APC, he will definitely cause some significant damage.

I will be here to enjoy the show sha.

Wike is a very cunning and crafty politician. When he needs anyone's help, he will kneel and beg as if you are a God to him. Once he gets what he wants, he will turn against you.
From Odili, to Dame Jonathan, to GEJ, to Amaechi to Makinde. He uses the same template. Now he is working on Tinubu with this rainbow 🌈 coalition. Once he gets it, either Tinubu takes his advice or he will use his friends in the judiciary to dismantle him.
Funny enough, APC governors in Edo, Cross River and Akwa-Ibom are under him.

As long as Wike is delivering what Tinubu wants, the Guinean Jagaban of Borgu does not care about anything or anyone else.

Tinubu is not just greedy and corrupt, he is incurably self centred,

He and Wike are criminally fit for each other.

Wike Boasts Of Helping APC Use Judiciary To Kill Osun LG Funds Case, Warns Party Leaders Against Ingratitude

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.

In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.

The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.

Wike, who spoke angrily, suggested that the court action supporting the APC’s position against the Osun government did not happen by chance, boasting that powerful political forces worked quietly to ensure the outcome.

“Don’t take our support for Mr President for granted,” Wike warned, in an apparent message to APC leaders defending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. “You have to be careful about the statements you make. You have to be very careful.”

He accused Basiru of political ingratitude, claiming the APC was enjoying in Osun State without understanding who engineered their advantage.

“Today, you are enjoying in Osun. You don’t know those who did the work,” Wike said. “You are opening your mouth to talk about Rivers State.”

He clearly picked a side against the APC governors and supported Adeleke in that election. It was also Wike that asked Adeleke to come present his certificate of return to him and the president at a time when the APC governors had barely left Osun. Wike used that occasion to pass a message across to the president and the APC governors didn't like that.

Wike lobbied PDP committee to be Atiku’s running mate – Ex-gov’ship aspirant

Thu, 29 Sep 2022 14:33:04 WAT

Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.

Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.

The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.

The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.

The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.

Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.

2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury

Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.

One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.

Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.

Says a man who hijacked the party and singlehandedly produced the last 4 National Chairmen of the party for his own selfishness.

Says a man who accepted nomination to be running mate to Fulani Atiku.
He knew it was injustice to give Atiku the ticket yet he lobbied to be the VP.
grin grin

He knew the party had to go South for the 2023 election, yet he still put Secondus as National Chaiman just to hijack the party..
Only to push Secondus out because he wanted the ticket 2023.

This man remains the biggest problem of PDP.

He can only deceive and fool his minions, not reasonable people.

Wike needs to be very careful. If these governors eventually team up against him, he may find himself facing a political force that will be very difficult to contain.

He should focus on Rivers or FCT and allow other governors to manage theirs. There is a limit to how far you can interfere in other people’s political territories before those affected decide to close ranks.

Politics is about alliances, and today’s opponents can easily become tomorrow’s coalition. He should choose his battles wisely and understand that political overreach can eventually come with consequences.

Re: 2027: APC Governors Bar Members From Alliances Outside The Party by emkz:
I think the APC national leadership ought to rein in on things like this.

While working with Atiku, Daniel Bwala revealed that some APC governors were secretly working with Atiku. While Tinubu performed poorly in all southeast states and lost Kaduna, Wike helped Tinubu win Rivers state. Most states with Wike's allies like Benue and Oyo were won by Tinubu.

Those at the forefront of anti-Wike forces, were where they?

It seems to me that the race is towards 2031. Wike has shown enormous influence and workings. He is likely to be a power broker in 2031. The plan seems to cage him. To APC, every single vote matters. This arrogance was done in Osun state and Osun APC locals prevented Ademola Adeleke from joining their party. The APC was beaten.

APC governors, be sincere in your support for Tinubu. Welcome everyone who wants to help. Wike is a force, Ademola Adeleke is a force, Seyi Makinde is a force, Bala Mohammed is a force. Welcome every support.

As the race for 2031 heats up, the potential presidential candidate and vixe presidentual candidate should be one who can mobilise voters for the APC in 2027. Abdulaziz Yari is proving to be a strong force. Without a budget and without inauguration, he is already moving around and building bridges. We have heard good things about Ubah Sani. Let him deliver Kaduna state. Babagana Zulum, deliver Borno state for Kashim Shettima. Atiku Bagudu, deliver Kebbi. APC governors, deliver your state. If you dont, you either did not work for your people or you are unpopular. Any APC politician who cannot deliver his state should be seen as a liability and would not be able to convince Nigerians to vote for him.
