The Benin throne is non-partisan, but we don't see any need to change for the sake of change. If the head is doing well, why change for the sake of change?…”Oba Ewuare II Oba of Benin

Sheuns:In the past they will talk about the gods, now they are telling us I am not a Christian but sometimes I quote from the Bible or Koran, Jesus Christ said he who is without sin, should cast the first stone. Bringing so much religion to our review of government instead of using governance to rate them. We try.

Tinubu has done the hardest part when it come to Nigeria policy going forward. I look forward to better policies from future president of my dear country Nigeria. An embargo has been lifted from future generation of Nigeria citizen by Tinubu. Whoever is the next president after him should start from another chapter that will reset this country on a better pathways. |

The thing I like about this Oba of Benin is that once he issues a directive to his subjects, the indigenes of Bini kingdom, to vote for President Tinubu, they will comply to the last letter. And it is looking likely with his blessing of Jagaban's campaign ![]() President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR till 2031. |

I understand what the Oba is saying. He said there's no need removing a leader who is doing well. He's not talking about Tinubu in particular. Now judge by yourself, if you know that Tinubu whom is our leader is not doing well or doing well, pls do the needful Yours faithfully ![]() |

Exactly. Tinubu has tackled problems no one has agreed to face. When Buhari-Idiagbon came in, IMF asked us to devalue our naira. Buhari refused, citing it woukd cause economic pressures as Nigeria was import-dependent. IBB came and started Structural Adjustment Programme that started a downward spiral of our economy. Abacha did his best to keep exchange rate stable and boost our external reserves. Then came Obasanjo and Atiku who started defending the naira by pumping dollars into the economy instead of pumping dollars into infrastructure and factories. From 1999 to 2023, almost $390 billion was spent on that scheme. Additional $53 billion was spent on fuel subdidy. Atiku and his team have promised to bring back these subsidies. Tinubu has tackled both problems. Anyone who means well will agree with the Oba of Benin that we do not need to go back to the old ways of doing things. Tinubu is doing well. Is there hardship, yes. Will his reforms yield long term benefits and sustainable growth, yes. What is Atiku's plan? Reopen borders that are open to start transborder trade that is ongoing. Bring bacj subsidy in a way that is not even clear to Atiku. Destroy Tinubu's policy of allowing market forces control exchange rate. Sell NNPC while Tinubu is still paying obligations to former NITEL and Nigerian Airways workers Atiku's liquidation failed to care for. Make his friends rich as they are entitled to be rich as he himself said. Make von Batten Okeke rich by giving excuses on his inability to release FBI files. So no, Atiku is not the answer. Atiku was the problem.
