For you to add a card on Playstation Network (PSN), your PSN location MUST match the location of the issuing country of your card. There is no PSN loaction for Nigeria (only SA in Africa).

Steam, epic games store charge in dollars but they support this region. One of the reasons I have 0 interest in PlayStation

For me, i buy PS gift cards from a vendor that charges in naira (at reasonable prices)

I just gave an example that not all cards work on international platforms due to different reasons... and it's not only about games o.

With playstation, when you create an account, you have to select a country. Now, there is no option to select a Nigerian location, which forces you to select UK or US, for example.

When you try to add a card, as per their rules, the location of your issuing card must match the location of your playstation network.

For example, you selected USA as your PS location when creationg and account and you try adding a card. It must be a card issued by a bank in the US...not nigeria. Reason it wont work

This is coming at the right time that I need it

Unfortunately, there are thousands of Nigerians left frustrated by this... having to ise the workaround of a virtual card/gift cards.

Use Mastercard instead. Most merchants now reject the verve debit cards. Even Apple Store doesn’t accept them.

Based on my research, Verve is card company owned by a Nigerian company called Interswitch has most of its operations in Africa.

As of today, no nigerian issued card works when you need to purchase anything from the Playstation store. Thankfully, gift cards come in handy
