My only concern is next year election.

Every investor will naturally wait for the Presidential election to determine their next investment plan

Does it really matter if you're a long term investor? I'm worried about the elections too, I don't know if I should pause all investment by December and wait for post elections to determine direction to go.

Even as a long term investor, you can't just buy and leave it for years. You will always need to reevaluate your portfolio and goal for each stock.

No need to pause all. You can be strategic by taking some profits and wait- safe option

Or you take risk of waiting till Jan and see how January plays out
