Ur points 1 and 2 are contradictory abit. U say oil is being phased out in china and Europe even thos we know china is still rushing to buy irans oil despite sanctions.

But the in ur 2nd point u say Nigerians will make money cos Oil prices will predictably go up due to wars. undecided

If Nigerians are going to make money then what is the problem?? undecided

The truth is there is no olodo uprising in buying dangote shares. Its a secure and profitable share. The Olodo uprising will be in how u utilise the shares long or short term..

Mind u dangote didnt sell his whole refinery. He only sold a meager 3% stake of his refinery

IPO is 3.3% but he already sold a sizable % via PP

Check Pg 157 of the Prospectus

You must be a novice in economics. This your broker na estate and house agent broker. You wrote rubbish.

Every refinery is an integrated petrochemical complex meaning that as it refines for petro, there are other byproduct comes out before petrol which are useful in making other products like clothes, fertilizer, etc does dangote have the comparative advantage to delve into clothes or fertilizer production?

For Dangote refinery to make money, putting into consideration foreign exchange rates, the refinery makes more profit when the cost of fuel at the pumps go up. Let's assume the price of CRUDE OIL goes from $100 to $120 the refinery will buy crude oil from the FG/NNPC at $120, refine it and sell it at a more expensive price.

And there IS NO DOUBT THAT DANGOTE REFINERY IS USELESS AS FUEL IS BEING PHASED OUT GLOBALLY, many countries in the middle east are losing their refineries to war, same applies to RUSSIA/Ukraine, China has completed phased it out, UK & Europe and US are phasing it out gradually. The refinery will eventually become useless.

It's seems youare more angry that I am a BROKER AND FINTECH EXPERT 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

4. On calling Nigerians “olodo”:
You are free to criticise poor research or bandwagon investing. Many people do jump into IPOs without proper due diligence. That does not give you the right to brand an entire group of investors as fools simply because they chose to participate in a legitimate company offering. We've got institutional investors who partook in the exercise. Are you claiming they don't know what they are doing?

I'm done with ya!
This is also my issue with the OP. Lumping everyone together because of bias is not healthy for any kind of conversation. Many institutional investors (domestic and foreign) were part of the IPO. Same for SpaceX IPO a few months ago. Usually, they do their research. Some individuals have enough spare cash to be a part of the IPO at the time and took advantage of it. It's their choice. But lumping everyone together to make yourself look like a know-it-all is not useful for anyone.

People all over the world fall to hype - from the Western world to the developing world. It's known. That's why marketing works

And some have enough capital to be a part of whatever venture they desire. But that does not mean they are naive or empty-headed.

And so that one will make your investment to yield very well? Let me tell you, if the investment is really bringing good result why would I abandon it? I bought shares in 2006 for about 40k and immediately After the IPO it fell and has never risen to the amount I bought it so requesting for account statements will do what exactly?
