Goosethetruth:lol That was #ENDSARS, and what was the result? Young people disagreeing based on imported oyibo ideologies and later on tribalism. Nothing will happen. The folks who live in that axis all have second citizenships and homes abroad. Their children live abroad. They will jet out at the slightest mass incident. It was aired even during #ENDSARS. Na middle class folks I pity sha. ![]() |

Mirasteel:I was thinking same. Tesla Cybertruck is only worth $80,000 max, why will touts be demanding $4m from the driver as free money for them? Ill rather lock the car and leave the scene without giving them anything like he did. |

How can you reason like that? What happened to going to block those who plunged the country into the mess and poverty? My problem with you people is that where you're expected to fight your ground, you end up being used by your yokers. How can someone's hard work become your issue, are we sane in this country at all? God help us from this wrong mindset and entitlement mentality. Jakumo: |

Jakumo:What kind of gutter-talk is this? When did it become a crime, for a man to work hard and use his earnings to buy what pleases his heart? Is he the one responsible for the Mob who chose to wreck their own Life with illicit Dr*gs/Drinks or the Government that failed them? Why should the 'poor and wretched' be venting their anger on a Private individual, while applauding the Politicians and Government officials who are looting their future? And what is the job of the Policemen in that location, if they cannot protect a member of the Public from this sort of extortion and assaault? Something does not add up here. |

smallsmall:My existentialist belief system is anchored to the pragmatic concept of recognizing the distinction between the way things should be, and the way they are in reality. In other words, while I would love to see Nigeria become a safe playground for the super-rich to display their toys, I also concede that I am powerless to single-handedly introduce law-abiding peaceful decorum to a nation of 200 million fellow travelers in the midst of a biting economic recession. All valid reasons for the status quo in Nigeria notwithstanding, it is factual to describe Nigeria as one of many places on this planet where the very rich would be wise to conceal obvious trappings of their wealth in all instances where they intend to mingle with the impoverished majority. Mexico and Venezuela are good examples of lawless lands where kidnappers reign, forcing the rich to tenure armed protection at all times, while paying close attention to the wisdom of staying low-key and flying under the public's radar. |

cococandy:It appears you are not a good student of history and class battles or you are a member of the bourgeoisie and hope for the continuation of classism. I am quite sure Marie Antoinette had this same thought process. Like I said earlier, the revolution will be televised this time. |

codemaniacs:A place where only 20% are controlling the wealth is a poor state, richest in Nigeria though. Nigeria is a poor country as a whole not natural though but man made poverty. If you lose guard anywhere in Lagos you will be robbed but go to Japan or wealthy nations, you can forget your phone in a restaurant, come back after one week, you will still find it there. |

Goosethetruth:No I’m not part of the bourgeoisie. I’m an ordinary citizen who is disgusted by our culture of worshipping wealth. And I’ve observed it long enough to know that nothing is going to change. Yes I know all about the French Revolution and it won’t happen in Nigeria because we are fundamentally different people. We have been bred to worship the people who oppress us. You see it in how every institution is run. No accountability whatsoever. If you speak out against the oppressors, the oppressed line up behind them to shut you up. The richer their leaders get, the more loyal they are to them. We see it in the proliferation of religious institutions who are basically powers unto themselves. No one can check them because their followers will band behind them and make you the bad person. There’s no revolution coming. I want to be idealistic like you. Matter of fact I used to be. But I’ve lived long enough to see that it won’t happen in this lifetime. |

cococandy:the bigger problem is that the revolution he is fantasizing over is not going to swallow any corrupt leaders. it is the middle class who will get caught up in it. we saw this play out in the post end sars riots it was mostly looting of peoples stores and homes. i have no illusions about what to expect from the community in the event of a breakdown of law and order |

GloriousGbola:This!!! They won’t mob their politicians and hold them to ransom for a specified amount. But they’ll hold an ordinary citizen who has a clean car. They’re not ready |

Wrong! Many years back, JJ Okocha was spotted and mobbed around Cele express along Oshodi Mile 2 express in one tiny Toyota corola car or something like that. He was sitting at the passenger's front seat, the glass wind down. The car has nothing special to attract anyone. Yet, he was spotted and harassed by touts. They surrounded the car are were asking for money. The driver of that car was smart enough to zoom off. This touts of a thing is really getting out of hand, especially in Lagos. Jakumo: |
