US military withdraws from Iraq after two decades: Report Iraqi Kurdish leaders say the US withdrawal will leave their region, long a CIA and Mossad hub, vulnerable to Iranian attacks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SA75zWaRGo?si=dE8oYkjWA4AsPO_H News Desk SEP 28, 2026 The US military has completely withdrawn from Iraq, DPA reported on 27 September, citing an Iraqi government official. All US combat troops and logistical support forces have left the country, the official told the German news agency on Sunday. The US military has not confirmed the report. Iraq and the US agreed to withdraw the remaining 2,500 US military personnel in 2024. Before the withdrawal, US forces had reduced their presence in Iraq, which first began with the illegal invasion of the country ordered by former president George Bush in 2003. US forces were stationed in Erbil in the Kurdish autonomous region, at a base near Baghdad Airport, and in the Green Zone, a fortified area of the capital home to the parliament and US embassy. During the war on Iran launched by US President Donald Trump on 28 February, Washington's forces carried out attacks against the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), which overlaps with Iran-backed armed groups belonging to the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI). Iraqi resistance groups in turn targeted US forces with drones, particularly in the Kurdish region in Erbil. Iran also carried out strikes against Kurdish targets, including training camps for Iranian Kurdish opposition groups.
In the early days of the war, reports emerged that Iranian Kurds had been armed and trained by the US and Israel to infiltrate Iran under the cover of US warplanes. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani told the Financial Times (FT) on Sunday that the US withdrawal comes at a highly sensitive time. He voiced concern over their leaving the region without adequate air defense systems. Over the years, the Iraqi Kurdistan region has served as a covert operational hub for the CIA and Mossad. US forces were largely withdrawn from Iraq in 2011. However, they returned in 2014 under the pretext of fighting ISIS. https://x.com/WVanwagenen/status/2084283735583707566 The US and its partners from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) covertly supported ISIS in a bid to divide Iraq and Syria into ethnic enclaves, create an independent Kurdish state, and allow oil exports to Israel. The US and KDP, led by Masoud Barzani, helped ISIS capture Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, and partner with ISIS to carry out the genocide of the Yezidi religious minority. Amid plans for the current US withdrawal, the Iraqi government issued a deadline of 30 September for Iraqi resistance groups to disarm and hand over their weapons to the state. The move, announced by Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi after coming to power this spring, was later postponed and is now due to take place in June next year. https://thecradle.co/articles/us-military-withdraws-from-iraq-after-two-decades-report

Las las, US will be forced to leave the whole of West Asia along with its European Isreali-wannabe apartheid Ocupation force in Palestine. |

FSBoperator:It was USA that mistaken the Kurdish as terrorists while they are only defending their land. Before USA can tag you a terrorist, they must have been unable to get their way around you |

helinues:The Kurds have never been designated by the US as terrorists. The issue here is that a Kurdish state they are seeking overlaps Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran. In the process they only made enemies in Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran They thought they could get it by being a direct proxy to US agenda which unfortunately did not consider a Kurdish state but rather Greater Israel. The Kurds are guilty of naivety to trust the American golem who are only in the region to support and create Greater Israel which includes all Kurdish land. |

helinues:It was Turkey - a NATO member that designated the Kurdish PKK as a terrorist organisation to stop the US backing them in Syria and Iraq. Southern Turkey is ancestral Kurdish land so the Turks will be wary of their NATO ally in the US supporting Kurdish territorial claims in both northern Syria and Iraq which are bothering southern Turkey. |

FSBoperator:Turkey was working with USA then, how can Turkey designated them as terrorists without USA involvement.. |

helinues:Go and ask your AI how the US support for the Kurdish PKK almost led to Turkey abandoning NATO. The Turks will however accept military aid from the US to stop attacking PKK elements in Syria. You should know the reason Erdogan used as an excuse to enter Syria was to check kurdish PKK forces whom he claimed were planning cross border raids into southern Turkey. FSBoperator:Ask Ai kwa, bro na me you dey engage with oo. I still remember the story that led to the designation, I still remember that time how Turkey shot down Russia fighter jet which Russia couldn't do jack. If USA can designate the leading groups fighting for the freedom of Kurdish as terrorists, that's indirectly calling all the ethnic Kurdish terrorists You are probably the one making use of Ai for information

helinues:Turkiye designated US proxy in Palestine as terrorists too. Turkiye's war with Kurds is a very complex one and really trumps Turkiye's alliance with US. |

Looks like the US can't sustain all the warfronts they've opened because this seems like a decision made in a hurry or may even be running away. |

Don't say after decade, but say after stealing billions of barrels of crude oil. USA invaded Iraq, killed thousands of innocent people on the pretext that Iraq had a weapon of mass destruction, but what is stopping them from attacking north Korea that is displaying several missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads today? |
