People on this thread have done this. I haven't personally done it as I use Airtel ODU and on a long subscription.

That means I go now have 3 X25pro routers, 1 ZTE MC801A, 1 G5F, 1 X17M, 1 ZLT X32U, Navtech Marc 4, 1 small ZTE MTN router wey I no know the name again, but it's square shaped, and 1 Vida M4 router wey I never use for once. Plus this Huawei H153-381 (confirm if this is the exact one you have).

The router is very solid. And yes that's the exact model. I really don't know if it's unlockable, I've never really unlocked before. I have an Olax that's universal.

Okay. A good router becomes a better router when unlocked. It has only one LAN port, which I don't like. But I will get it anyway as it will probably come cheap. I have given invaluable information and knowledge to the seller, which they appreciate. He even said he bought it exactly same price you bought, but sometime last year abi last two years, from third party sellers, unregistered too, which is surprising.

If the router can't be unlocked, it will be a shame because then it will be parked like I parked the other ones.

Per my experience of using Airtel for one full year now, if their network is good in your area, go for it. If they decide to misbehave with network outages, call their cc and threaten to migrate to MTN of nothing is done.

Did it and it worked for me.

To be honest, I have to believe that this was what worked for me too. I remember the time I used to give people directions on how to call them here and directly talk to the supervisors.

The CC took my address several times. They were lucky because at the time MTN FlyX had not become popular, they were literally my only option. Apparently they fixed the mast closest to me. Now I can't believe how good they have become in my area. They should do the same to all their masts, if they know what's good for them.

Baba mi, nobody is hoarding anything. If anyone had asked me I'd have shared the one that works for me. The reason I was asking is just to know when I'll stop generating portals cos that one is work on its own.

The most frustrating thing with Airtel is its not even the network dat is actually bad, u will have a normal Airtel sim in ur phone browsing at amazing speeds and other 4g routers doing very well but, the odu is consistently being throttled behind the scenes by them. Thats why these days, they don't allow u to change apn or dns. U will always here people saying, "it was good at first", this is clearly not a situation of good network but to throttled network. BTW, most of u currently enjoying the airtel re mostly the ones who swapped to physical sim to use on x25pro and not odu device itself but no be every body get power for dat kind of stress. If u paid for something, it should work as advertised but Airtel don't want u to use unlimited data freely but will still be advertising it, it's not by force abeg!

this is free stuff, I just keep different servers and save favorite channel for each IPTV link. Anytime I want to watch something, there's no way I can't find two or three that is working

I am just going crazy here, if I do the plan within 13 to 16 days dem don throttle my speed, it's now even like their network is 100% good oo! So how did I use the supposed 1TB. The funny thing is is that as dem don throttle me like this they are sending me messages that I used 10GB yesterday. How do I use 10GB on a network that the speed is like 0.3Mbs speed?

Someone wants to buy unlimited data device recently and I advised them to buy MTN FlyX. Me wey dey use Airtel. But I explained the irony to them because I no wan disturbance from them in case Airtel no good for their area, and all indications show this to be the case.

FlyX dey somehow scarce but I made some calls and got him one so he does not get ripped off by third parties who are trying to sell to him at 100k plus.

I bought a new airtel odu few days ago, it's been good too after I did some band locking tweaks, unlike previous times. They've really improved. I'll keep the mtn till next month

If you're doing band locking to get the good stuff, they have not fully upgraded in your area. But that's better than what most people get.

Oh, a lot of greedy people exist. The first time I was trying to get Airtel ODU, that time it was all esim and I was trying to get the old ones with physical sim as we were not yet aware about the sim swap workaround, someone was selling 140k last price.

Of course I didn't buy and had to continue seeking for alternatives until I found.

How did you run this boss?

I am thinking of going to airtel office today to complain of the extremely terrible network, then get to see if they can take their device back and refund me.

Then switch to mtn router.
