Jesus preached peace? Then what do you make of Matthew 10:34, where he says, "I did not come to bring peace, but a sword," and Luke 22:36, where he tells his followers to buy a sword? Of course, Christians interpret these passages differently, but pretending the Bible contains no references to conflict is dishonest.

And as for your list of "Muslim terrorist groups," history is more complicated than religion. The CIA openly acknowledges funding, arming and supporting Afghan Mujahideen during the Soviet-Afghan war. That doesn't make the Mujahideen a CIA invention, but it shows how geopolitical powers have helped create, arm or empower militant movements. So don't reduce complex political conflicts to "Muslims = terrorism."

URGENT. This is being treated as a serious terrorist attack, 9/11-style.

A pilot tried to hijack a plane bound for Israel and possibly crash it, until passengers broke into the cockpit and subdued him. Mossad and Shin Bet are of this moment involved trying to figure out what actually happened.

One pilot is said to be Omani, the other Emirati. Reports say one tried to stab the other, hijack the plane and potentially crash it into a building or the ground, 9/11-style.
