How can you say you want a 2 yeRts baby to enroll in Nursery school

You want me to pay 400k for nursery school so they can play baby shark dododo for them till afternoon abi??

When she saw I wasn't falling for her scam

Just say you're broke... We understand that the economy in Nigeria is hard.

It is because women are not held accountable in this part of the world, that is why they act irresponsibly knowing fully well that their poor decisions are often excused on the grounds that they are women. If our society starts placing equal responsibilities on women and not heap every financial responsibilities on men, women would sit up and not try to kill their husbands with billing.

in this era of AI I will never pay exorbitant amount for my children schooll, they should lear how to read and write and learn AI or a skill that will never be replaced by AI

Always seeking ways to absolve themselves of accountability... the average Nigerian man. You married yourself a woman whom you accuse of reasoning like a child, and even had a child with her. I suggested to her that I can download those kids cartoon and our daughter can be watching at home.

Your kid needs to start the nursery school now that her mates are starting. She's going to learn beyond baby shark, she will kearn how to interact with her peers, be confident away from mummy's clutch and generally develop alongside her peers.

And that "educative ipad" is an absolutely nightmare for your kid. Keep it away from her as much as possible.

No school would put a 2yo in Nursery.
She would be in preschool.

I believe 3 is a perfect age when the child has been perfectly potty-trained, can talk and feed his/herself. But some kids could be anti-social or showing slow developmemt, so they need to interract with kids their ages. There is a reason second child tends to hit milestones faster than the first.

The only problem I see here is the cost.

Except it is peer-pressure because Naija mothers suffer FOMO. Once they see other women doing back-to-school, they will run and wear their 1yo long uniform with black shoe. Next thing is to tell you their child is 7yo in JSS1.

There's nothing wrong with being broke considering how hard things have been.

And how will buying a child a tablet to be watching cartoons when there's a TV help with anything? It's just that yesterday I was under a lot of stress and couldn't query the op further.

He can choose a good affordable school within his budget. That's the solution and not berating his wife.

They don't play TV all through for the children. Like Sisi said, she doesn't need a tab....we may sound old school but I never got my children tabs. It doesn't help them in this formative stage in my opinion.

My daughter is 2 plus and has learned to color, she's very expressive and can sing songs and talk well, she can write 1 for now, she learned to eat solid food in school as she didn't like to eat anything outsise pap no matter how we tried.

I like that she can interact with other children unlike my older son who started school a year later than her, his speech wasn't clear and had to repeat a class but has gotten better and is now doing very well.

If you're doing other things beyond the tab to make her outstanding and adapt easily when she eventually starts, great but if not, let her start.

Nothing wrong with her reasoning it is just you who did not really know women and you have married one of the women men today now know not to marry.

Hypergamy playing out in this scenario and not being childish.

She wants her kid to enroll in high taste school, where commissioner, PS, Director kids are going, even though she might not contribute a dime, and how the rest of family would survive, she is less concerned, so far, you satisfied her hypergamy quest.


Meanwhile, this type of wife usually has high tendency to cheat, because her desire for expensive things, in which her income is not up to, would lead her to such immoral relationship.
