M.K.O' s Decca Records' handling of Fela's royalties and contracts with other artistes (like the Lijadu Sisters) back in the day showed me exactly why he would have turned out just another Tinubu failing woefully in office. As I recall, baba Fela managed to gain access into their damned office, locked himself in and tore out the sham contracts the company made with artistes who were literally working like elephants and eating like ants at the time. And of course, MKO fought him back using their regular zombies, the Nigeria Police Force. MKO ain't the knight in shining armour that most of my people think he was and one term with him in power would have proven it - just like we are seeing with his friend, Tinubu, today. MKO's life story did not start and end at those initial years of struggles. Life never gave him a chance, he was born in abject poverty. When the storm calmed and he became somebody, his real character showed. He built a business empire and he treated people very well and fought selflessly.
