I still believe that if you have 30million and choose to invest in Nigeria then anything that happens u take it like that. 30million naira is not much if u compare it to the current exchange rate. People who decides to Japa with that money are not necessarily stupid. That money is one sickness away, one bad policies away or one kidnap away and that money is finished. Not to mention if Tinubu enters for second time u will see Niger Republic self u go rush enter |

yemmit90:A country where those whith 30m are not up to 2 percent is a completely shithole.. Do u know how much those abroad send to Nigeria that helps stabilize ur naira? Omo, without them, bro, ur naira would be hitting 2500 per dollar. Nigeria is extremely a poor country and dangerous country. If u remove politicians, remove drug lords, remove ritual and organ harvesters, scammers, the country is practically broke. Those earning well outside the above listed are not up to 1.5 percent of the population. Dont take my words for it, your data recently confirmed, to find Nigerians with 500k and above in their account or asset is not up to 4% of the population. |

No one is even mentioning US again 😁 the big brother of all, the best country to relocate for the professionals especially the medicals. You don't need any proof of fund as a professional as long as you have an employer. You only need to get all your necessary documents which of course, you will spend money too in getting some of them. But not like bringing millions for POF |

I have a background in Banking though I was silent on it in my last application but only emphasize on my solar panel sales business. I have applied 3 times for Canadian visa without success. First as a student, the other 2 as visitors with my two kids to visit my spouse who just completed her certificate course in health related field. My question is what can I do differently next year that will guarantee a successful application. How can my spouse who would have gotten her pgwp status help our application? She pointed out that we applied for visitors visa for the kids who are still minor instead of study visa. The process has been so draining to be sincere. The question is how can her new status help our application next year and how can we strengthen the application so that it won't be denied again. |

OkanlawonB:Bro you are doing Minister of information and Minister of economics at the same time. Lovely Post. The real problem is people love money and don't want to add value. Alot of people a dependent mentally on western thinking it's like alot of people cannot think for themselves. Uber, Bolt are Western creations and look at how people jumped on the bandwagon. Another Bandwagon is the need to travel out of Nigeria. We seem to worship people from abroad. Look at the Chinese coming into NIgeria and even lowering prices. If we are going into another country our mind would be to increase prices. There is alot wrong with our mindset. We are full of fear and cannot stand on our own. Look at all the south African leaders who died in their own hospitals. The best hospitals are in America, Germany and Europe. Why did South African leaders not travel out ? Because they believe they are just as good as any nation. We lack belief in Nigeria at the slightest problem it is to travel out. While others are sitting in their countries and developing it we are running out of our country. God Bless China for believing in us when we no longer believe in ourselves |

Deejah123:A sure plug in your case through the study route is the Technical University, Vienna. TU Wien has numerous IT masters programms taught in english. Tuition is very affordable (about 727euros/semester), accommodation is affordable (about 400euros/month) and not difficult to find. Student Jobs are not diffficult to find as well. Its a Do It Yourself process, it will be of advantage if you are resident in Abuja or somewhere closeby because of the rigorous process of document legalisation and authentication at the Austrian Embassy, Abuja. Austrian Embassy accept Naira account for proof of fund. Though for better integration, learning the basic German language may be important. |

BITTER TRUTH: SOME IMMIGRATION PLANS HAVE AN EXPIRY DATE. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This is one thing I don't see people talk about enough. You can research a route today. You can meet the requirements today. You can start gathering documents today. You can even have the money ready today. …and the rules can change before your family has actually completed the move. Let that sink in. A route can make sense for you TODAY and still create a problem for your family LATER. That means: “I checked the requirements” is not enough. You need to understand WHEN those requirements will be tested and WHAT HAPPENS AT EACH STAGE of the journey. Take Sweden for example. As of 1 October 2026, Sweden introduced changes affecting family immigration. Among other things, the maintenance requirement is now also examined when certain residence permits are extended, and the amount required has increased. But here's where it gets interesting. The rules don't simply depend on: “I'm going to Sweden.” They can depend on WHAT TYPE OF PERMIT YOU HAVE. Who is the principal applicant? What type of residence permit does that person hold? Which family members are applying? What type of permit will the spouse or children receive? What maintenance requirements apply? What evidence has to be provided? And what happens when the permit reaches the extension stage? This is where a lot of people stop researching too early. Someone sees: “Sweden allows you to bring your spouse and children.” And concludes: “Perfect. Family relocation sorted.” 😂 No. That sentence alone doesn't tell you enough. Because immigration isn't just: GET VISA → ENTER COUNTRY → EVERYTHING IS FINE. There can be several stages after the initial approval. Application. Approval. Travel. Family reunification or accompanying family members. Permit conditions. Extension/renewal. And eventually, the next immigration stage. Every stage can have its own conditions. And sometimes the thing that causes trouble isn't even the original visa requirement. It could be: The dependant rules. The maintenance requirement. The amount of money you need to show. The type of accommodation required. The evidence you must provide. The conditions attached to your permit. The rights of your spouse. Or whether your children qualify under that particular category. THIS IS WHY OLD INFORMATION CAN BE DANGEROUS. 🔥 Google can show you an article from 2024. Someone on TikTok can confidently explain a requirement from 2025. An agent can send you a PDF that was prepared months ago. Your friend can tell you: “Don't worry. That's how I did mine.” But immigration rules don't care about how your friend's application went. Your friend's approval is evidence of your friend's situation. It is not automatically evidence that YOUR FAMILY will qualify under the same conditions. And this is one of the biggest mistakes I see people make. They copy a route instead of understanding the route. “My friend used this route.” “My brother moved through this route.” “Someone on WhatsApp said this country is easy.” “I saw somebody with ₦25M relocate there.” Okay. But who exactly was that person? What was their occupation? What qualifications did they have? What type of job were they doing? What permit did they apply for? Were they single? Did they have a spouse? How many children did they have? Was the spouse applying at the same time? What were the family's financial circumstances? What rules were in force when they applied? Same country does NOT mean same route. Same nationality does NOT mean same outcome. Same amount of money does NOT mean same eligibility. Two families can each have ₦30M and still have completely different immigration options. One person may have an occupation that fits a particular route. Another may not. One family may have three people. Another may have six. One spouse may have qualifications and work experience that strengthen the family's options. Another spouse may not. One person may already have an employer willing to sponsor them. Another may be starting from zero. Money is only one part of the equation. And this is another bitter truth: ₦30M is not an immigration strategy. 😂🔥 It is simply a financial resource. What matters is what you can legally and realistically do with it based on your profile. That's why I always tell people: Don't start with “Which country can I go to?” Start with: “What routes can MY profile actually support?” Then go further. Ask: What happens to my spouse? What happens to my children? Can they accompany me immediately? If they cannot, when can they join me? What permit will they receive? Can my spouse work? What happens when my permit expires? What financial requirements apply at extension? What happens if the rules change before then? Now you're thinking about relocation properly. Because relocation isn't just about getting in. It is about understanding what happens after you get in. That distinction can save someone a lot of money, time and unnecessary stress. And please... Stop building ₦20M–₦30M relocation plans from one friend's experience. 🔥 Your friend's route may have worked for your friend. It doesn't automatically make it your route. Your friend's immigration story is not your immigration strategy. Immigration law is not a screenshot. It changes. Requirements change. Financial thresholds can change. Family rules can change. Permit conditions can change. And sometimes the change happens after you've already started planning. So don't only ask: “Can I qualify?” Ask the bigger question: “IF I QUALIFY TODAY, WHAT DOES THIS ROUTE LOOK LIKE FOR MY FAMILY ALL THE WAY THROUGH?” That is the question people should be asking. 🔥🔥🔥 Because sometimes the expensive mistake isn't choosing the wrong country. It's choosing a route without understanding the whole journey. And by the time you discover the missing piece... You've already paid for documents. Paid application fees. Paid agents. Made plans. Maybe even resigned from work. That is when “I didn't know” becomes very expensive. 🔥 So, if you have a general question about anything I've discussed here, drop it in the thread. Let's keep the general discussion here so other people can learn from the answers too. But if what you actually need is someone to look at YOUR OWN profile, documents, occupation, qualifications, family situation and available funds and determine which routes genuinely fit... That's a different thing entirely. That's not a “which country?” question. That's a proper profile assessment. I don't do individual profile checks from random comments or casual DMs based on two lines of information. Because there is no responsible way to assess somebody's relocation options from: “I'm 35, married, have ₦30M. Which country can I go to?” 😂 General questions → thread. Detailed, profile-specific relocation guidance → consultation. Simple. Learn first. Plan properly. Then spend your money. 🔥🔥🔥 |

That's actually a very different scenario, and I would approach it differently. If the person already has a foreign remote job and the plan is to relocate the wife/husband and children while he may continue moving between Nigeria and the destination country, I would not start by choosing a country. I would first establish the legal basis for the family's residence. The foreign remote job is useful, but having a foreign employer does not automatically give the employee the right to live and work remotely from another country. The employer's location, where the work is physically performed, the destination country's immigration rules and the person's tax position can all matter. Then I would ask four main questions: 1. What legal status will the principal applicant have in the destination country? Is it a work permit, digital-nomad/remote-work route, self-employment route, another residence permit, or something else? 2. What status will the spouse and children have? Can they accompany the applicant? Can they join later? Are they dependants under the principal applicant's permit? Are there separate financial, accommodation or other requirements? 3. What happens if the principal applicant returns to Nigeria? This is the part I would pay serious attention to. If the family's right to remain is based on the principal applicant's residence permit, you cannot simply assume: “They have entered already, so they can stay there while I work from Nigeria.” The conditions of that particular permit determine what happens. For example, Sweden's current family rules require a reference person in Sweden to meet certain maintenance and housing requirements for family members in relevant categories, and the rules also cover extensions of family members' permits. So the question is not just whether the family can enter. It is whether they can legally continue living there under the arrangement you are proposing. 4. What are the tax and employment implications? If someone is physically working from another country for a foreign employer, that can create tax and employment questions that need to be checked separately. So I wouldn't tell someone, “You already have a foreign remote job, just move your family there.” I'd first make sure the immigration status + remote-work arrangement + family status + tax position + long-term plan all fit together. So for the person who asked the question, my suggestion would be: Don't spend the ₦20M–₦30M yet choosing a country. First establish the legal structure of the move. If the objective is specifically: “I have a foreign remote job, I want my wife/husband and children to live abroad, and I may continue living between Nigeria and that country,” then that should be assessed as a family-residence strategy, not simply a normal “japa” plan. And that's exactly the lesson from my main post: The right route depends on what you are actually trying to achieve, not just how much money you have. If you want to give more details about the job, employer's country, family size and whether the intention is for the applicant to remain abroad or return to Nigeria, I can explain the scenario more specifically. 40 years, IT/Cybersecurity, MSc, 7+ years experience, single and ₦16M. On the surface, that's a profile worth exploring. The first thing I'd want to know is your exact Cybersecurity role and job duties, because “IT/Cybersecurity” covers different occupations and the available immigration routes can vary depending on what you actually do. Your MSc and 7+ years of experience are also important, while being single makes the financial planning a bit more straightforward. The ₦16M is useful, but I wouldn't start by asking, “Which country can ₦16M take me to?” I'd start with: What occupation does your experience actually place you under, and which countries currently have routes that fit that occupation? Then we look at your age, qualifications, experience, English/language status, finances and the specific requirements of those routes. So yes, there are countries you can potentially look at with this kind of profile, but I wouldn't honestly name one country and tell you that's the answer from these few details alone. The missing piece is the exact nature of your Cybersecurity work. Once that is clear, the options become much easier to narrow down. If you drop your exact job title and briefly explain what you do, we can use that to make the discussion more specific here. Deejah123: |
