Your mum did 10 while mine did 11. They were able to do such numbers because women of their generation were stronger and much more hardworking. This is unlike women of nowadays that have become so weak due to the so called western civilisation. I remember when my mum was still bearing children. She was always busy working hard in our farms and markets from conception to childbirth. She never sat at a place pressing phones and eating junks the way ladies of nowadays do. The result was that delivery was much easier for her as she delivered immediately following onset of labour. Myself and some of my siblings were delivered either at home or on her way to maternity. None of her labours lasted up to 10 minutes. Nowadays, we think we are helping our women by over pampering them until they become so lazy and clumsy such that delivery becomes a huge problem for them. So op, if your fear stemmed from labour pains, then I'll advise you to always increase your physical activities during the last trimester of your pregnancy. It helps to make the delivery process more seamless. |

Jman06:Cho..cho..cho...Why not help your wife carry her pregnancies so she can give you 20 kids. |

RevenuesBoost:Your husband should go for a vasectomy. After going through child birth, women shouldn't stress their bodies with any contraceptive implant. |

Jman06:Yes exercise is needed but whether you exercise or not, the pain is nobody's mate. No woman is weak, everyone has their own childbirth experience. Some even have severe complications, some die in the process. Some women have bad experiences of which the placenta might want to come out before the baby and CS is the only solution to this and every second counts to whether the mother and baby will survive this. Most mothers never speak of labour pain because they see it as the strength of a woman. Ask your Mum to sincerely tell you what labour pain feels like. You just have to keep your eyes open during the pain because if you close them due to the pain... It's just like you're living and dying at the same time. Those days Women barely use family planning methods, so they had no choice than to have multiple kids. My mum said the church she attended said family planning was sin. If you ask your Mum, she'll tell you her reasons and if she had her way, she wouldn't have so much children. After the Labour stress, the kids will still stress you. Just two and I'm almost losing my mind, how much more 5 or 10 or more. God abeg! |

We4all:Isn't a bad idea but I wouldn't want him to do that. It's just like asking me to take out my womb. Reason: We're still young |

RevenuesBoost:Simply accept the fact that women of this generation are too lazy and weak! |

Jman06:Simply accept the fact that no woman is weak and lazy and you need help. And you are supposed to be somebody's husband right? |

RevenuesBoost:Of course I'm married and I love my wife so much. That does not change my stance on the subject matter. I have come to accept the changes in our women and make extra efforts to assist my lovely wife during this period of her pregnancy. |

| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Jman06(m): 10:12pm On Oct 01 |
Samantha125:Please tell me how. Is it because I said that ladies of this generation are too weak and lazy to carry pregnancy? |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Samantha125(f): 10:21am On Oct 02 |
Yes Jman06: |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Jman06(m): 10:41am On Oct 02 |
Samantha125:But that's the reality. Many of them don't even want to get pregnant at all. |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by pocohantas(f): 11:14am On Oct 02 |
They didn't know better, Child mortality was high and they had to increase their chances. It was also needed for their time. The same mothers who had 10,12 kids would not encourage their daughters to have 5 sef. They know it is not fun. Men have a picture-perfect image of their mothers sufferings. Though they wouldn't do those things if they are women. That is how smart and selfish many are. So in a country like Nigeria where maternal mortality is one of the highest in the world, you don't need to prove with your womb that you are strong to a man. He should grow a womb and born 20 sef. RevenuesBoost:You look very beautiful. This newborn came with a lot of glow. |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Samantha125(f): 11:27am On Oct 02 |
Probably because they're career women and don't have the time to be getting pregnant and staying at home to look after the children or coming home after a long day to be entertaining them... There are men who also don't want to have children because parenthood is a talent not everyone has. Jman06: |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Jman06(m): 11:34am On Oct 02 |
Samantha125:Hmmmmm...it just boils down to laziness and weakness of nowadays women! Such mindset is very bad because it does not support continuous existence of life on earth. |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Samantha125(f): 11:50am On Oct 02 |
Your mothers didn't have any careers and were full time homemakers, so you can't compare the two, there are some men who also don't want children...π€·πΎββοΈπ€·πΎββοΈπ€·πΎββοΈ And the beginning always has an end, perhaps it's time for humanity to make way for new species take over the world. | Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Jman06(m): 1:14pm On Oct 02 |
Samantha125:Our mothers were not just housewives, many of them were into one occupation or the other. My own mum was into farming and trading. Having careers shouldn't be an excuse for modern women to shun procreation. |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Samantha125(f): 1:23pm On Oct 02 |
You call informal farming and trading whereby you set up your own working hours a career?πππ And what do you have to say about those men who also don't want to have children? Jman06: |
| Re: Mummy, How Did You Do 10? by Jman06(m): 1:47pm On Oct 02 |
Samantha125:Some of those men make the decision out of ignorance and many of them regret it on the long run. It's just like every other poorly-informed decisions people make and end up regretting such. No man in his right senses would choose not to have children. |
