Jacob and Esau are twins Every Nigerian pastor especially the Pentecostal pastors know about the 'child of the bond woman'. They are always preaching about him, 'the child of the bond woman', 'the child of the bond woman' blah blah blah How come none of them has never ever preached about Esau? Nigerian pastors don't know Esau or this is a monumental oversight from them as they have never preached about Esau. |

Genesis 17:19-21 King James Version 20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. This is Ishmael's blessing. |

Obiedun:OK. That's nice. But they emphasize more on Ishmael, why? Or don't you think the emphasis should be more on Esau? |

If you hear any pastor speak about Ishmael again as the aggressor, just dismiss that person, he is either ignorant or an agent of the devil. There is no where Ishmael is cursed in the Bible, that singular dishonour among Abraham's children belongs to Esau Malachi 1:1-4 King James Version 2 I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, 3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. 4 Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness |

MrPresident1:You are clever by half, why didn't you quote the passage when God said he will never be at peace with his brothers. Ishmeal came from Abraham but he was not the chosen one. Esau out of anger married from the tribe of Ishmeal and thats one of the reason God was angry with him. |

keemsleek:Next time don't start with your opening sentence, I forgive you this time ![]() Genesis 16:12 King James Version 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. This is the verse you are requesting, I have quoted it severally. It does not say that Ishmael is cursed, it only defines the kind of individual he is and his ideology and his offspring. The Bible never said anywhere that Ismael will be a terrorist! The Bible only says that Ishmael will be a wild man and he will dwell in the midst of his brethren, every man on him and him on every man, it describes a stubborn man, it does not call him evil, wicked or cruel. Now check out Esau His prime son Amalek, the worst of the heathen, see his posterity Genesis 36:12 KJV And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife. Amalek gained primacy among the sons of Esau and arch villain against the word and will of God by being the first to attack Israel at their most vulnerable when they left Egypt at a place called Rephidim Exodus 17:8 KJV Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. God promised Amalek indignation forever Exodus 17:16 KJV For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation God promised Esau indignation for ever Malachi 1:4 KJV Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the Lord hath indignation for ever. Ishmael is only wild, he is not evil, wicked or cruel. The evil wicked and cruel one is Esau. Get that into your head. |

Islam trend from ismeal and Esau married from the tribe of ishmeal to spite his father and God. For ismheal it was a combination of curse and blessing. MrPresident1:Where did you see Esau's descendants? Did you not read that Esau was wiped out? Ezekiel 25:13: "Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword." Obadiah 1:10: "For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever." Are there any Edomites left today? AI Overview No, there are no distinct Edomites And funny, you even cited that God Said to Edom that when He tries to rebuild, God will crush them down. Malachi 1:4 Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; Yet, you see not and understandeth not and therefore speak leasing. Meanwhile, Ishmael is still going on giving the world terrors. Anyway, i know you are ma... so you can't be expected to rational. |
Esau is the terrorist. [/qu Islam is traced to Ishmael, and the Edomites are traced to Esau. Edine later became a symbol to Rome. Though both of them received God's curse. Ishmael:His hand against everyone" (Gen 16:12) Esau: "By your sword you will live, and you will serve your brother" (Gen 27:40). Islam as a religious civilisation expanded rapidly and militarily in the 7th- 8th centuries under the early caliphates – and Islamic sources themselves frame early _jihad_ and conquest as part of that history. Edom, by contrast, disappeared as a distinct identity after the Roman period (absorbed into Judea/Idumea). So technically, the Esau generation became part of Israel...but the Ishmael generation still exists. |

keemsleek: Esau is the terrorist. [/quWhy are you defending Esau whom God calls the border of wickedness? Islam is not the problem of the world, Islam is the only countervailing power in the world against the excesses of Esau. Esau is Rome-Edom-Babylon Ishmael is not cursed. Only Edom is cursed |

Dtruthspeaker:Esau is not wiped off yet, God has promised that he will punish them for their wickedness. Most people don't know the wicked yet, because he is well hidden, but he will be revealed and his nãkédñess will be to the full glare of the world 2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Malachi 1:4 KJV Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the Lord hath indignation for ever. As you can see from the two verses above, the wicked shall be revealed, they shall call them the border of wickedness, the people against whom the LORD has indignation for ever. Ismael is only stubborn, he is not cruel. The cruel and evil one, the wicked and profane one is Esau. Esau is the terrorist! By the way, what is your interest in the people against whom the LORD has indignation for ever, why are you holding forth for Esau? Are you from Esau? Are you an Edomite? Why are you trying to twist the Bible in Esau's favour, what do you stand to gain? Have you not read that this world belongs to Esau and the one following after belongs to Jacob? So what exactly do you stand to gain from twisting the Bible in Esau's favour? Isaiah 63:1-4 King James Version 63 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. 4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. Have you read this prophecy on Edom's future? |

keemsleek:Ishmael is not the problem of the world, the problem of the world is Esau! Why are you desperate to paint Ishmael as the bad and Esau as the good? The evil wicked cruel and profane as written in the Bible is Esau that youbare doing your utmost best to defend. What do you stand to gain from defending Esau, are you Edomite? Ishmael is only stubborn. He is a blessed man. He is not cruel or evil or wicked. Esau that you are defending like you are a stakeholder is the evil cruel and wicked one. |
