In the case of your "availability" argument, this logic/premise does not hold true why, because there is no "true" distal isolation that restricts the settler population from finding their "own" kind to cohabitate.

A Nigerian man in China is not restricted to marrying a Chinese woman because of the lack of "availability of his own women.

This also holds true in contemporary South Africa and yet you are not even 25% mixed race after 600 years.
