₦airaland Forum

Something just made me remember the old days of internet browsing 😅

1. It was a flex - tech bro vibes if you could configure a phone to browse (setting up APN key, username and password, or even calling customer care to send settings to the phone).

2. Then there was the era of browsing cheats for free browsing 😅 - from using a proxy url in apn, to sophisticated configurations.

Internet fee was actually damn crazy then tho - I can remember then loading recharge card just to download one game from sites like waptrick . com or sefan . ru only to see say na Russia language or money finish before it completes 😅

Abeg life don better jare 😅 - na that era I find out about Nairaland.

Night browsing subscription killed it.

Hmmm... True, but I think it should resurface o 😝. Data plans now are a keelah.

There was a time when there was even duration-based browsing - 1hr, 2hrs etc

Kai I remember those days. Then MTN 100mb was ₦1,000 valid for 30 days. We'll go online and crack cheats come on the internet and start dropping them. Back then MTN and other networks if they track and catch anyone using free browsing cheats ehh kai they was a code u will just dial and get free airtime sometimes huge data for free with ₦0.0kb on your phone. Sweet memories 😘🤭 then.

Real OG sighted 😅😅

Their IT staff are now well paid and well taken care of, so why would they still leak such sensitive information? What exactly do they stand to gain by putting their jobs, reputation, and the entire company at risk?

Guy some of us don too relax, this one is not all about their iT staff leaking information. Look an internet guru can stay in Lagos and h@ ck into MTN saver and start circuiting it back again. That was what most of us do those days.

There are apps now doing this tweaks...Like stark VPN

Yes but many people are not into it again maybe because of cheap data rate from the service providers... Are mine right or wrong?

Buhari was right! Weak and lazy youth... You think these tweaks and cheats are cheap and easy like coming online to set ring light and talk trash.
Get serious with life and you will see hardworking people really know how to do cool stuffs for real.

imagine claims. You hack MTN as Snowden you be? Those were early days of MTN when they were dropping different services and some weren't properly tested. We got to use those tweaks not because we were ingenious but because MTN was being careless with service rollout.

I remember when you can tweak an IMEI of a mediatek device and you send code and get 2gb meant as welcome bonus for new devices. Now, such bonus is too refined and perfected that you can't get it outside the designated device. More also, android became more secure that tweaking it became more difficult.

Just recently, MTN rolled out their flyx bonus and ordinary devices got the bonus but they fixed it ASAP also.

It's not our ingenuity but MTN carelessness

There is no issue with free browsing save that

After guys spent hours of sleepless night to bomb

Another ************ will come online and post it for MTN or Airtel to block it!

Don't blame the guys, blame the snitches!

Back then if you Google anything, the top 3 results would be Yahoo-Answer, Wikipedia and Nairaland.

It is crazy, all those 16 years old that had this cheat codes would all be in their early 30's by now.

I remember using SIMPLE SERVER SCRIPT in notepad for PC browsing. We could use 100 naira to get unlimited data daily. I used up to 10 to 20GB everyday. Na you go taya.

Lol 🤣 I'm 34 years old now
