Besides, he also claimed to have sold cable for 20 years. If he sells sth for 20 years but can't differentiate between counterfeit and genuine, then it's either something is wrong somewhere or he's always dealt in fake products and his cup is now full.

I do agree that being sentenced is good but let it be applied to other tribes too not just igbos.

The prosecution was financed and pursued by Coleman .. the Police had to tag along .. while the SON whose job it is to make sure standards are maintained were not cooperating. And we wonder why there is so much fake stuff in the market.

Use the receipts of purchase he presented as an evidence to track the real importers because that fake cable most like is still out there in the market

This is good.


But I expected to see him jailed along the main counterfeiters who are making fake products.

I expected to see them raid the laboratory where there fake products are made..

With a good lawyer, the man could appeal and claim that he is not the maker of the fake item and could not have been able to identify the fake product from the original since he does not have a testing lab like the SON and other regulators.

These are the loopholes that I believe the prosecution should have plugged up.

Catching the real makers of the fake product would have been very much welcome, not just buyers and sellers.
