The fact that he has to even borrow shows he's not even living comfortably in this economy. Yet he borrows a loan to fund the same man that has kept him in such poverty. That's the mindset of most poor Nigerians.

Tinubu supporters should never help you either even if you are dying in your own words. It works both ways. The guy you supports is worse than Tinubu, so don't try to gaslight anybody.

If any of those he is supporting are responsible, they would have had a word with him never to do such again, but because they are the sponsors of such an impoverishing strategy, of course, such loans would be approved.

He's an adult, probably older than you and has his own family. In democracy, his choice of candidate doesn't have to align with your own choice because you can't convince no one that your candidate will be better. Respect his decision.
